Kenny loves when the peanut butter box is here! He was born around 2/7/21 and had the bad luck of being owned by someone who tied him up and let his collar grown into his neck. They then tied him to a goal post because they did not have the nerve to surrender him to be safe, Gotta love people! He is an affectionate boy who walks well on the leash and is desperate for attention, once he is comfortable. He does start off shy. He is crate trained, knows basic commands and is undergoing training and he LOVES to please his people. Now he is with a cat rescue HaHa!! We just know there is a home out there for this wonderful dog. Black cats! Black dogs! what ya gonna do?

Adopt One, that's what!!

He has not been exposed to cats but he ignores dogs on his walks and has only shown a tail wag and happy to meet ya! when in closer contact.

E-mail us at [email protected] for an application or to meet Kenny.

Serafina was rescued from under a house with her babies, Cliff & Norm. She did a great job raising her boys and is now looking for her forever family! Although an adult, she's still very playful and enjoys being petted. Come and meet this sweet girl! A home with no dogs would be best.

Please e-mail [email protected] with any questions or to request an application.

Mochi and Cheeto were adopted in 2022 and returned in 2024 due to no fault of their own. As tumultuous as things have been for them after starting life out in a storm drain, you wouldn’t know it! This bonded pair of brothers is as sweet as they come. Cheeto doesn’t know a stranger; when he’s in the cat room at PetSmart, he immediately rubs up against everyone he meets, and will plop down in their lap for snuggles.

These boys so deserve to settle in to their true forever home. Come meet our cats every Saturday at PetSmart on Harbison from 12-4. Please e-mail [email protected] with any questions or to request an application.

Not all pets face the same risks in cold temperatures, but it's crucial to know the signs of distress and how to help. If you see someone in your community struggling to keep their pet warm, consider lending a hand! We need everyone’s help to get pets through the week ahead.

💡 How You Can Help:

- Try speaking with your neighbor first. Offer to build or buy a proper shelter and add straw (not hay or blankets) for insulation.
- Partner with local nonprofits (like us!) Currently, we have a few donated dog houses available as do many other rescue groups.
- As a last resort, contact your jurisdiction’s animal control for assistance. Please keep in mind, animal control officers will be overwhelmed in the coming days.

If you are feeding a male cat, please do not wait to have him neutered. Every second he is out there is a HUGE risk. Unneutered male cats fight. I don't care how sweet you think he is. All of them fight - it's their nature. And it's the way the most severe feline diseases are spread. You can prevent this before it happens! And, you can prevent a lot of new kittens being born outside to suffer in the harsh environment.

Don't wait for him to show up injured!
Don't wait for the weather to get warmer.
Don't wait because "he can't have kittens".
Don't wait because "you'll do it later".
Don't wait to earn his trust more.
Don't wait for him to contract deadly diseases.

Don't wait.
