Do you have a pet or feral cat in Columbia that needs to be spayed/neutered? Here are some valuable resources:

Pawmetto Lifeline accepts 5 feral cat walk-ins per day Monday-Thursday. Please follow their Facebook since occasionally they cannot accept walk-ins on specific dates. Since these surgeries are first come, first served, we recommend arriving at 6:45; doors open at 8. There is a limit of 1 feral cat walk-in per household per day; if you need 2 or more feral cats altered on the same day, you must schedule an appointment. Appointments must also be scheduled for household pets.

Another option is Humane Society Columbia; they require an appointment for both household pets and feral cats.

Animal Mission of the Midlands has vouchers for household pets in Lexington and Richland counties, as well as for feral cats in Richland County. These vouchers are accepted by both Pawmetto Lifeline and The Humane Society.

Allie was adopted in 2018 and returned recently due to no fault of her own. She’s a truly lovely cat. She’s incredibly sweet and friendly, and she even avoids conflict with other cats who might be trying to cause mischief. With her beautiful dilute tortie coloring, we really hope she finds the true forever home she deserves soon!

Billy has the best markings! It’ll probably take time for him to warm up to you, but once he does, he’s very friendly and will enjoy your company. Billy is good at setting boundaries and will let you know if you do something he doesn’t care for. He is in a foster home with several other cats and tends to be cat-selective.

This beautiful, petite little mom is Syrax. She came to us with three kittens and it was not a good start for them, they had been taken to the shelter. She took a while to trust people and was very defensive of her little family, one of which had sustained injuries due to human handling. Thankfully he is good now and she was a really good mother to these week-old babies. She now likes to be petted and knows she is in a safe place. Her estimated date of birth is 4/6/23.
