National Pet ‘Fire Safety’ Day 🔥🧯🚒

Here are some tips to keep your pets safe during a fire:

🔥 Have an escape plan
🔥 Assign a family member to account for each pet
- Know your pets favourite places or hiding places so you can quickly find them and get out!
🔥 Keep an emergency crate/kit by the door
- You can fill the crate with food/leash/ other essential items for your pets
🔥 Train your dog to be calm during fire alarms

🧯Fire Prevention: Pet Proofing 🧯

🧯 Switch to flameless candles in the house
🧯 Keep pets away from heaters/stoves/fireplaces
🧯Deter your pets from chewing on wires in the house

🐾🚒 Place a Pet Alert Sticker on your front door to alert the authorities that you have pets inside that may need help getting out 🚒🐾

📣West Carleton Animal Hospital is now TEMPORARILY CLOSED to NEW Clients/Patients. 📣

Due to staffing changes we needed to make the decision to close in order to be able to properly service our clients. We are hopeful that we will open back up to new clients in the late fall.

If you are currently a client, in good standing, do not worry as we are still doing our best to get your pets seen in a timely manner.

Please be patient with our staff during this time as we navigate these changes and do our very best to have everyone’s needs met.
