Rosemary has officially made it to North Carolina and was just handed off to her new momma after 72 hours of road trippin'! Just one hour till she is in her new home! Thank you Boston's for keeping her safe and all the updates along the way! We cannot wait to see her thriving in her new home! It takes a village and we have a pretty tiny, but mighty one!

Kitten season is year-round in DFW. Have already been seeing so many posts of kittens being given away with 0 vetting which is how we are in this crisis to begin with unfortunately. We will be needing volunteers in order to empower us to intake cats and kittens in need and ensure they get the care they need and are spayed and neutered and will not contribute to this overpopulation epidemicm

We can use fosters who are able to house kitties short-term (a few weeks-a month) or as long as a few months. You, and only you, will be the only help a cat will ever be able to have to get off the streets and the medical care it needs along with a loving home and a lifetime of happiness. There's not even close to enough help to get even the smallest fraction will receive the help they need right now.

Now is the time to turn those "why won't someone do something?"'s into, "I CAN do something!"

The 2 super sweet 7 month old grey boys in these photos, Larry and Luke, need a temporary foster just until February 14th! They are also available for foster-to-adopt!

Larry and Luke are total love bugs and happily snuggle and get all the attention they can get! They have been dewormed and vaccinated. Please DM if you're interested in a foster-to-adopt trial (we will have them neutered before finalizing the adoption) or are able to help these rescue babies in need get to their furever homes! It's the perfect way to get all the kitty loves and snuggles without the commitment of adopting or even longer term fostering! Just 3 weeks to give these boys what they need for a chance at a lifetime of happiness!

The kittens got their first FVRCP vaccines yesterday. We will be doing 3 for extra protection on this litter! We have already had some great applicants and will be setting up meet and greets for pre-adoption to all happen within the next week!

I forgot to snap a picture of Momma today in the car, but she got her vaccine as well and tested negative for FIV/FeLV!!! 🙌🎉🥳 Even Momma had a couple of applications, too! Really hoping it will work out with one of the applicants so she can go home after her spay! Shes too sweet to TNR🤞

UPDATE: Applications are currently closed for these sweet babies right now. We have so many in from so many great candidates already and will be prioritizing those right now. If any more kittens become available, we will be posting them so be sure to like and follow our page for updates! Otherwise, we have some older kittens and cats available if you're interested, you can find them at jackofallcats.org/adopt

Very excited to announce our first intake of 2025, because we don't get an off season for kittens in Texas! Foster extraordinare, Cheri, and her husband came to the rescue after discovering a stray kitty had a baby this past week. They were able to locate the other 3 in the attic of the garage and bring them inside just before this 2nd cold front hit the area. They are isolating in their workshop, but look healthy and beautiful and are available for preadoption/ foster-to-adopt. Cheri will be taking on these babies as she says goodbye to kitten #6 from The Herb Herd tonight, leaving just momma Thyme and Parsley left from originally 8 total! So grateful they are willing to step up to make sure these kitties have the best chance possible at a happy and healthy life, as we have not had other volunteers to foster in quite a while.

They will be vaccinated, with boosters, neutered, and microchipped prior to any adoption, to make sure they are all ready to go home! Already got their first round of dewormer yesterday! 2 girls, and 2 boys. They are sweet as sugar (not a single hiss or spit while I did my assessment and gave them dewormer). Momma is also warming up quite a bit and enjoys pets from her caregivers. If anyone is interested in adopting Momma alone or with one of her babies, we would love to get her off the rough streets, otherwise, we will, of course, be TNRing her to make sure she is out of the baby-making game! The babies are abke to be weaned so we can get momma adopted out really anytime. Will get her spayed and all her vaccines and can give her with vouchers for boosters if anyone is interested or wants to maybe do a foster-to-adopt trial.

The kittens are estimated to be born around December 21st.

If you're interested in pre adopting or doing a foster-to-adopt please fill the application below and send a DM for additional questions! They will be available for local and out-of-state adoption!

The nights are dipping into the 20s and even teens again this weekend. We have a few shelters still available! Asking for a donation towards our rescue efforts for each shelter. I've worked hours on each one, making sure they are as comfy as possible for the kitties and as waterproof and weatherproof as I can get them. All are lined, top, bottom, and sides with radiant barrier. The hard coolers have been sealed with Loctite Marine sealant to keep water out. Also giving straw with the shelters for anyone who needs it!

If you would like a shelter or have any coolers or totes to donate, please send a DM. Located in South FW.

2 large and 2 small shelters left. I've worked really hard to make them as warm as possible. Packing tightly foam pieces between the 2 totes. Multiple layers on bottom and on top, lined with radiant barrier to reflect their body heat to warm them up. Some people who said they wanted one haven't responded. 100% of the proceeds goes towards all the supplies used (who knew weather/waterproof supplies cost so much more haha) and any extra goes into the rescue fund towards our fundraising goal.

DM if you are interested, the comments on all the posts keep getting lost down in notifications. Stay warm and safe.

Only a few more shelters done. Delivered 2 more yesterday. Worked on them nonstop except for the dropoff from 12 when we got home from the vet, till just after 3 am. Unfortunately did not have help and now my garage is jam packed and exploded with totes and straw and supplies and scraps everywhere. I'm pretty pooped after 5 days of working on them. I try to make them as sturdy and insulated as possible to make them last. Weatherproofing them as best I can with cold weather and waterproof tapes, glues, and sealants. Not sure the trick to lining a tote with another smaller tote but these ones have proven to take me twice as long to make, closer to 6/7 hours trying to measure pieces of foam to fit just right and using far more tape and adhesives than when I just have a regular cooler. I'm out of the foam Insulation as the rest is for my garage door to try to insulate the garage better for recouping TNR kitties. If anyone has coolers or foam Insulation sheets to donate, can help make them, or just wants to make a donation for supplies to make their own, I'll provide what I can! I don't think I will be able to finish these all today, unfortunately.

"What the hell is THAT?!?" ~ Moose

We've had an eventful morning already! Diarrhea explosion 15/20 minutes into the drive so we had to pull over and get her as cleaned up as possible and switch carriers (Momma was more prepared this time!) We saw our first bull, which was so exciting. She is such a curious little girl. Moose is getting put on a week of nasal drops and then depending on how she does, we will go from there to determine what to do next! Will update in a week or so.
