Southern Charmers Animal Rescue and Sanctuary Ron and I are helping to stop the feline overpopulation that has been a problem for many years in my neighborhood at the beach and all of Panama City Beach.

We will be humanely trapping spaying neutering and releasing back where they were being fed! We take in neglected abused and medically needy dogs. We are an all Volunteer 501c3 public charity. Tomorrow I’ll try the open traps again.( door locked open and food put outside of the trap near opening).. she ran away from it at lunch and would not even come back to eat.. you can see how she’s chowing down when the trap is not in site… someone must have tried to trap her before… she knows what it is. I am so torn about trapping her at this stage of her pregnancy 💔
We think we know where she will have them… we watched her go into the secluded area after she ate.
What would you do????

Well we did it.. Ron and I are getting more involved in Rescue again. We are down to one Sanctuary furbaby Precious and our Sweet Willow… both over ten years old now…and of course Maui our Macaw, that will most likely outlive us both. Lol
We lost 5 of our furbabies in less than 4 months time… Snowy, Weezie, Cuddles the Cat , Wiggles and two weeks ago our Sweet cat Jake!!💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
I felt the pull to get involved again, and I truly think this will help heal my heart and Rons as well.. so what will we be doing?????….
We are starting a TNR ( trap,neuter/spay, release) project here at the beach. There is a real need here in my neighborhood in Bay County Florida. There has been an explosion of feral cats and kittens, and kittens having kittens.. we just had to get involved with helping animals in need again.. this time Felines.

There are wonderful neighbors around the neighborhood that have started donating to the much needed cause, and many are feeding the homeless feline colonies already, so after we humanely trap the cats and kittens we will get them spayed or neutered, get their rabies and distemper vaccines, and one ear tipped, then they can go back to where they were living and being fed in the community again to live out their life without ever reproducing again.

I hope i can get your wonderful support once again, that you have given our rescue for so many years!
I thank you so much for helping us save so many needy furkids in Dothan Alabama… without your support we couldnt have given so many a “second leash on life”!!

I will be posting pictures and stories as I did before … and look forward to your comments and maybe even get a few adopted out… we need to get more supplies like humane gravity door traps.. and small carriers both soft and hard sided. We will be looking on marketplace and garage sales for gently used items for the cats comfort and care while they are being transported and recovering from their surgery.

We promise to do the best we can for these felines… ❤️

It’s been a hard few months with fracturing my lumbar and my ankle and foot… I have two very handicapped kids here Snowy and Weezie and I have to pick them up at times to carry them in and out side. But they deserve every bit of that care no matter how much pain I am in.
I still am caring for 2 Sanctuary Dogs and have three of my own personal pets still alive and kicking 😊
They are all getting old and I bless everyday that I still get to hug and kiss them.

Hugs your babies tight,,, you never know what will happen tomorrow ❤️

Ron and I thank you very much for all your condolences… our hearts are so heavy and it’s hard for us to not see her laying on her favorite beds, or coming up and nudging our hand to get her loving❤️🐾

She was such a special girl that must have had a very difficult life before we rescued her out of the Dothan Animal Shelter… she stayed shy from most people and would act like she was invisible and go behind a chair to go unnoticed… but I’ll never forget the wonderful morning I saw her sleeping with Sweet Dog Whisperer Kade who was living with us then.. with his beautiful Mom Anna Harris Hendon, sharing their love with all the rescues..( some of the best days in my life) ❤️❤️

She was a real sweetheart and the memories we have will warm our hearts forever!! ❤️❤️❤️

We love you Sweet Girl, Run free and Happy… give all that passed before you loving for us too 🌈🐾🐾❤️
