New petition to try and make their lives more bearable:

Due to the XL Bully ban many dogs are now not able to exercise at all off lead. Given that they are required to wear a muzzle to prevent injury to others and also have third party liability insurance, they must be allowed to run and play.

Mabel had a wonderful day today! Time in a private field followed by shopping and FREE FOOD!!!!!

Helping Mabel to play and socialise isn't easy. Every private field I have to read through all the rules and T&Cs. It's her only real chance to be off lead, and part of that pleasure is playing with other dogs and just being "normal". Obviously Tegan isn't going to play with her 🤣

Mabel met a lovely lady with her spaniel on the field this morning, she was so happy to be allowed to say hello and get some strokes 🩷

2.5 weeks of having Mabel. She's coming out of her shell (ie trying to snuggle in my bed at night!!🤣)

Overall people have been amazingly positive about Mabel and XLs in general. North Walsham people were particularly lovely with several families asking to stroke her and telling their kids she shouldn't have to be muzzled!

I believe that actions speak louder than words so I'm going to let Mabel's kisses, cuddles, snuffles and calm demeanour (even when dogs have a go at her) do the talking 🩷

I slept next to my sister on the extended bed space today! You can't really see, but I realised it was warm and cosy.

Excuse the mess. I kept an eye on the girls while I was out for work - Mabel seems to have taken a shine to Tegan's bed despite all my efforts to make her a bed space of her own!!! Luckily Tegan took it on the chin!!!

Today Mabel had a free session at Pegasus Unique Pets indoor play/training. Of course, we stocked up on some food and treats afterwards!!!

She has a crate to sleep in and the sofa. But has decided she likes Tegan's bed and has wedges herself onto it. I even took her bed out of the crate earlier but she wouldn't lie on it! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Such great progress! The other dog is not always sure about big dogs but they got on well after a few minutes!!!

Even when you feel a dog will be fine, it's scary leaving a new dog alone with your other dog. Mabel has been impeccable, I am building up their time together and watching from the camera. She just goes to sleep while Tegan barks and moves around although eventually they both settle without an issue.

Let's ignore the mess in the house 🤣

First successful walk with muzzle. Two people said its a big shame and the government is a disgrace. One person walked past and looked terrified.

Happy New Year! It turns out Mabel wasn't a fan of the 5 hour fireworks and so put herself in the bedroom on the bed, and wasn't getting off even for treats!!! So at 11 we all went to bed together ❤️
