Grahamstown Feral Cat Project Trap, Neuter, Return project, caring for the feral cats of Grahamstown. Founded 1 October 2009. Proud partners of Grahamstown Veterinary Clinic.

Trapping, sterilizing and releasing feral cats back into their environment is a globally recognised humane alternative to simply killing them. After all, these cats have carved out a niche for themselves in a harsh world and have earned the right to life as much as any one of us. In addition, they perform a useful task in controlling the large rodent population drawn to the city by restaurant garb

age and student rubbish bins. With Man's destruction of so many natural predators and their environment, rodents can become a problem. The cats perform the task of rodent control efficiently and without the negative impact on the environment which poisons have. If left unsterilized, the cat population can itself become a problem and disease may spread among them through mating and fighting, spreading also to free-ranging domestic cats. Left to breed unchecked, they also begin to have a negative impact on wild birds and small wildlife in gardens and even in the CBD, and indeed their own lives become extremely difficult.

We still need 18 sponsors and time is getting short. Please help us.
Our Santa Cause for Paws album has been up for a long time, but sadly only 3 paid sponsors so far 🙁 If you can help, please let Santa Cause for Paws know via our album on their page - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.817585613734964... - or email [email protected]
Hi, we are either up for adoption or outreach animals at Grahamstown Feral Cat Project. You can sponsor us a gift. R250 and the volunteers at Santa Cause for Paws will shop and pack the perfect gift for me or an animal similar to me. For now these will go out over Christmas, unless the charities want them sooner - we will work with charities to see what they would like.
If someone comments on your charity page, we often don't get the notification, the easiest would be to give them SCFP bank details and reference (name and surname as per FB) - and email us the info so we can update once they pay. Often people do not come to our page and re-comment sponsor so just give them the details and let us know please.

Remember our very sick little foster kitten Ninja who needed several blood transfusions to survive his severe case of biliary? He has grown into a beautiful young man and is living his best life. His new name is Ozzy and he's part of a loving family of humans and pets. He's still not off his medication, but we think he will be very soon.🥹
Thank you for your continuous support and belief in our project. Your donations, adoptions, encouragement and loyalty make miracles happen. 💕

Support Animal Welfare: Make a Difference Today

Dear fellow animal lovers,

As we go about our daily lives, there are countless animals in need of our care and compassion. At Grahamstown Feral Cat Project we are dedicated to providing a safe haven and a second chance at life for abandoned, abused, and neglected animals.

Jack Sparrow and his siblings, whose mother was killed by dogs, are some of the many kittens we have rescued. He was born with only one fully-formed eye (perhaps because of interbreeding), which was removed yesterday. Without this intervention, Jack Sparrow faced infection from the remains of the eye. Through your donations we have been able to improve his quality of life, provide foster care for him and his siblings (only Socks - the tuxedo male pictured here - is looking for a forever home) and have them all sterilised. This is only one of many litters whose life we have changed.

Our mission is to promote animal welfare through rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming efforts. We rely on the generosity of donors like you to continue our vital work. Your contribution will directly support:

- Trap, neuter and return of feral cats so as to prevent breeding of unwanted litters
- Food and shelter for rescued animals
- Medical care and rehabilitation services
- Adoption programs to find forever homes
- Education and outreach initiatives to prevent animal cruelty

Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to a world where animals are treated with the respect and kindness they deserve. Your support will help us:

- Prevent more kittens being born
- Rescue more animals from dire situations
- Provide essential care and rehabilitation services
- Find loving homes for those in need

Please consider making a donation today. Together, we can create a brighter future for animals in need.
