Just a reminder that with the cold weather, we will be asking for large animal emergencies to be brought to the clinic. This allows the vets the ability to tend to more animals in a timely fashion. Please ensure you have access to a truck and trailer. In calving season please have your truck plugged in and your trailer plowed out and ready to use.

As calving season has started we would like to remind our producers to do an inventory of their supplies. Some of the supplies that you should have on hand are: colostrum, electrolytes, bottle and stomach tubes, record-keeping supplies, vaccines, medicines, vitamins or mineral supplements, calf tags, supplies for assisting with difficult calving. Start the year off fresh and book an appointment with us to review your pet’s health! Adult pets should have a complete veterinary exam at least once per year while puppies, kittens, and pets over 7 years of age should have more frequent visits.

Happy Walk Your Pet Month! When walking pets outdoors in winter, here are some things to consider:

Train your dog to use winter booties to protect their paws
Take shorter walks or stay indoors when the temperature drops too low
After your walks, wash and dry your pet’s feet and belly to remove salt and chemicals

To our customers with Charge Accounts:
As the Canada Post Strike continues, it looks unlikely that resolution will be reached by the time we typically send out monthly statements.

To help you out better, you can call the clinic at 403-843-8463 during business hours to talk to the staff and we can arrange a way for you to get your statements. You can always stop in and see us while you are driving by for help too.

Any one who misses getting in touch with us will likely receive a phone call if the strike isn’t resolved by mid December. If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us!
