With the ending of this 12 month chapter we wanted to express our gratitude to our clients both 2 legged and 4. We are thankful for our rescue partners, referring veterinary partners and all of those who have shared or interacted with our social media posts.

We are forever grateful that our community has chosen to let us into their lives to help welcome new puppies, new babies, work through some of the most complicated behavior problems and seek guidance for the everyday life stuff. Thank you for putting your trust into us to help build the bond and connections within your family and for allowing us to become connected to your family.

We are thankful for those who have shared our name and passed it onto others and those who have supported us year after year for almost two decades. We are looking forward to a great 2025 and we can’t wait to see you all in it and to welcome new members to our Training Tails family!

Look who graduated their Intermediate class!!!! ELLIE!!! Ellie was a private training student prior to group classes to work on a few behavior modification topics and baby preparedness, then she made her way to adventure class and now indoor classes. There is something special about this one! Little Bear is working with his Mom to become a therapy dog for kids. We think he is showing all of the right qualities to get there and we would like to congratulate him on his Puppy Class Graduation!

You want to know something really cool? Bear’s parents have seen Ms. Jen for Training with their pups for well over a decade! She has had the pleasure of working with all 4 of their family dogs. Ms. Jen loves little Bear, Tiff, Tim and of course Rhody, Kobe🪽, and Lola💗 the OG 🪽! To see their family grow by two legged kiddos and four legged pups is truly an honor!

Not only was it a great start to our morning today, but the day continued with some amazing pups that we are so happy and lucky to have as students! In our adventure classes all of our students work on their obedience skills out in real life scenarios. Bandit has graduated from his day training program and has made incredible progress! He has worked very hard and diligently and we are so proud of him!!! We had previously worked with Bandit and his parents on some transitional training after adoption and baby preparation sessions. This time Bandit’s parents wanted to focus on his leash manners, leash reactivity and general confidence in new settings. With a new baby on board their training time was limited, that’s where we stepped in! Our day training program allows us to work with pups on a more frequent basis (often 3 times a week!) and then transition those skills a few times a month to the owner. The good news is we work in an environment where the dog is comfortable! Their home, their neighborhood, etc. With Bandit we first mastered his leash skills in his neighborhood and then we took him to places his parents would like to visit frequently and mastered his skills there too! We are extremely proud of how far he has come and absolutely loved all of our time spent with him! I am sure this isn’t the last we will see of Bandit as he will likely be joining our adventure classes soon! Our Story

With over 10 years of experience in the industry, Jen Reynolds can offer behavioral services for basic obedience and socializing for both adult dogs and puppies, leash walking, dog reactivity, behavior modification, resource guarding protocols and much more. Most recently Jen has been working for the Rhode Island SPCA, where she has spent the last four years as their lead trainer and dog adoption coordinator. During her time here she has helped rehabilitate, train and adopt out over 1,500 dogs. Prior to working for the RISPCA, Jen spent time working as the Area Trainer and Area Training supervisor for a national company (PetSmart) and working as a Veterinary Technician for a local animal hospital. Jen’s childhood love for dogs has led her to the career she has today as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. Since then Jen has completed her Bachelors Degree in Animal Science with a focus in Animal Behavior, she became CPDT-KA certified in 2010 and she is also a Canine Good Citizens evaluator for the American Kennel Club.
