It's my "0" birthday !!! My sisters and I are 10 today. The Summer of Love girls are now ladies of a certain age. Happy birthday everyone ### It has been amazing being part of this special family, we all became Facebook friends and have kept in touch over the years. Mamma can never thank Andrea enough for chosing her and Dad to be my forever family ### here's to very many more fantastic years girls ###

Hi everyone - we have some big news to share. You will see that our page name has changed - that's because my special friend Pumpkin has chosen to move away and live in another home, close by, where she is the only cat. We keep in touch with her and her new family - although we miss her very much we know she is happy in her new home.
If I could have chosen a present for my "0" birthday I would have asked for a kitten! Who would have guessed that Mamma needed to rescue two little girl kittens 6 weeks ago and I get to be Mamma too! Rosie and Belle have joined our family and we will share their stories very soon ###

Our Story

Hello! I'm Lucy x Welcome to our page :) It started out as the "Lucy Harburn our beautiful Havanese girl" page - but then Pumpkin came along - a tiny kitten that we hand-reared - so Mamma started adding photos and stories about her too. Many other pets are a huge part of our lives and they also appear here - time to share their stories with all of you as well we think! My humans are avid animal lovers and all my fur and feather family are rescues - so one question they get most "is Lucy a rescue dog?" The answer is 'No' - I was carefully selected from an exceptionally reputable breeder. Not only did Mamma and Dad go to see her, Andrea came and delivered me to them to ensure I got the very best of homes. Mamma searched for months to find me, she needed me to be kind, gentle and cat-friendly! We share our lives with 13 kitties and an assortment of poultry, some of whom were getting elderly so I had to be a very special girl. Yes, of course there were many deserving, unwanted puppies looking for homes - if we were a one pet family Mamma wouldn't of hesitated, but we're not and it was too much of a gamble for her to take with other companions to consider. So, long story short - she found the perfect breeder with impeccable ethics and my humans tell me they are now the blessed guardians of a 'little piece of Heaven' - Me !!! ###
