We wanted to Thank everyone who donated towards Iris's Birthday Fundraiser for West Jersey Volunteers for Animals. We hit our goal thanks so everyone 's generosity and kindness.
Daisy's surgery was a success and is healing well. The tumor was a type of cancer, Adenocarcinoma, but we are hoping it won't spread anywhere else. She is feeling wonderful and has so much more energy as you can see from the video below.
We appreciate all the support for Daisy and WJVA, Thank you again.
Friday night Update on Daisy,
Thank you to everyone who reached out, shared and commented about Daisy needing a Temp foster for 4 more days.
We didn't have any luck finding anyone for today or tonite, so she is home with me in our sunroom separated from my Tootie. She is doing as well as can be expected. She whines a little wanting to see what is behind door #1 and #2. I am trying to keep her busy by walking around the yard and walking down the street. She is loving her marrow bone, see video, hopefully she will sleep well and not be lonely.
Good news is one of our wonderful previous adopters Beth and Lou who adopted Sandy many years ago, reached out and offered to foster her for the next 3 days. Unfortunately Sandy is at the Rainbow Bridge now and they have no other dogs, so they are able to help our Daisy.
Thank you to John and Michael who fostered Daisy for 3 days this week, we appreciate you opening your home to her.
And of course Thank you to Uncle Chuck Ferro, fostered her while she was not feeling well, and helped her recover.
This little girl has really made many friends the past 3 wks and she loves everyone she meets.
Again Thanks to West Jersey Volunteers for Animals friends and supporters and and all my friends who helped us out. ❤
****If we could ask all our friends, supporters, adopters to please share Blake's story to help him get adopted. thank you so much
Blake's Foster Mom, took this great video of him playing with his neighbor Emmy Lou (a WJVA alumni) They love each other and play so well together.
We can't believe Blake has hardly any interest in adopting him, he has been with WJVA for 2 months.
This young boy has a puppy spirit, but is beyond all the puppy antics. He doesn't chew, he is housebroken, he listens, sits for treats, loves other dogs. All positive traits that any family, even a first time dog family would love about a dog.
Please share our Blake to help him find a forever home.
Blake is available for Adoption with West Jersey Volunteers for Animals,
**9-10 months old, 45 lb. , Black Lab mix
**Loves other dogs.
**Could live with Children
**Housebroken and crate trained
**Friendly, loving, playful, smart and healthy
**Would make a wonderful Family Dog
Any questions about Blake: email: @[email protected]
Blake's (on long line) first visit to the Jersey Shore. He met and made new friends. He just loved the man he met on the beach walking his dog.
Hi, it's Blake checking in. I am still waiting for a family to adopt me. Just wanted to show you how wonderful and playful I am with other dogs. I am the all black Lab mix with the fluffy tail, and the other dogs are my foster siblings.
My foster Mom always tells me what a good boy I am and how lucky a family will be if they make me part of their family.
If you have any questions about me, please email and my Aunt Iris will get back to you right away: [email protected]
Thank you, Love Blake

Smart Dog finding Santa's sack to looking for presents.
Good Morning from Emmy Lu, who is pictured running and playing with her foster brother and sister. She is a little slower than they are considering she is chubbier, but her foster Mom is working on getting her fit and trim. She is settling in well after being in her foster home for over a week. She'll be going to the Vet this Thursday to get a clean bill of health and then she will be up for adoption. Emmy would make a wonderful family dog.
Maggie and her Foster brother Bear, love playing in their big backyard.
Maggie would make such a wonderful addition to a family who is looking for Unconditional Love.
