Well today’s show didn’t go to plan 🙈 Naughty Jack thought he would see how long I could stay on for so I unfortunately did eat some sand just after fence 1. So then I get back on to go again h/c to get him around nicely and he got so excited at the last fence he thought it would be fun to launch it and have another funny moment for me to eat more sand before I went home 😂 thank you jack for showing me what I can sit to 😅

Although it was Lois’ first time seeing arena eventing fences she sure did give it a good go 😁
Busy day today schooling all sizes of horses 😊 Lois and gin 2 beautiful thoroughbreds doing really well over some jumps although Lois got a bit too excited 😬Fleur and Faye were absolute diamonds not putting a foot wrong as always and Elsa got over her fear of a Christmas tree being in the middle of the school 😂

Here’s a little introduction so you can all get to know me a bit better.
In the 12 years I’ve be riding I’ve had a lot of experience dealing with all kinds of horses from small Shetlands to giant shires, gentle quiet ponies to terrified wild horses. I learnt to ride in local riding school while I saved up all of my pocket money to buy my first pony and since then I had the dream of competing horses at a good level.
As I grew up I bought and sold a few ponies to make sure they find the best home and to get experience with different kinds of horses and ponies. I was then lucky enough to join my local pony club with my very naughty pony called Will. After a few months of going to pony club lockdown happend so then I was very determined to get will to behave and thankfully all my hard work paid off as we came back better and stronger actually managing to get around a showjumping course without napping.
The more shows we done the better he got, he went from demolishing and refusing a cross pole class to go clear at 80cm and done his first 90cm. I then met an incredible horse named Lois which is everything I wanted in a horse, she might be sensitive, nervous at fast movements and pretty good kicker but I wouldn’t change her for the world, I instantly fell in love with her so the time had come for will to find his new forever home which he is now loved and spoilt rotten. It’s been a hard long and stressful journey with Lois going from scared to trot over a pole to now jumping 95cm with ease and confidence.
Also the last few months I’ve been breaking in my young horse jay who has proved to be the most laid back level headed 3 year old I’ve ever met, jay takes everything in his stride without a fuss, recently completing his first hunt.
I am very lucky to be apart of Bethan Jenkins amazing team 😊 with a lot of exciting plans for next year.
Welcome to EB showjumping! I will be offering a freelance showjumping competition service so if you’re looking for someone to compete your horse or pony then you’ve found the right person! I will be happy to ride any young quirky horse/pony to an older schoolmaster, however I will not be riding anything dangerous! I am a small lightweight jockey so can take anything from 11hh upwards. Fully insured and references available. There will be a charge for my service so please message with any enquiries.
