We have a quick update on Max— the poor pup we rescued right after Thanksgiving. He is thriving in his new home! His mom did a dna test and shared them with us. He is in a beginner class at PetSmart and loves his human brothers and sister, along with the cats and dogs in his forever home. Happy Tails, Max 🐾

We have the best adoption story! Biscuit, now Nox, was adopted, and his new brother is Newt, who was adopted from us last year! It’s SO hard to find a home for an adult cat, and finding a home for an adult black cat is even harder! How lucky Nox is! Thanks to the Cleveland family for adopting!

Urgent Help Needed for Max! 🐾

You may have noticed that we haven’t had many animals lately, and that’s because times have been tough. Without regular donors and with the challenges we’re facing, it’s been hard to keep up. But today, we were contacted about a dog in desperate need, and we couldn’t turn him away.

Meet Max. 🐶

Max arrived in horrible condition—skin and bones, covered in painful mats. In fact, we had to shave him right down to the skin just to get him some comfort, especially with this cold snap hitting us. It breaks our hearts to see him in this state, but he’s safe now, thanks to a little TLC from our team.

Now, we need your help.

Max (and others like him) needs urgent care, food, grooming, and medical attention, and these expenses add up quickly. We rely on generous supporters like you to continue our work. Delilah is thriving 3 weeks after her leg amputation! Look how much she has filled out and how much she has grown! She loves playing with the other cats and kids in her foster home 💕

Last night, we found Delilah, an abandoned kitten with a broken leg. Unfortunately, her front leg is injured beyond repair and will have to be amputated. You may remember Lady, a deaf / low vision dog who was adopted from us in Spring 2023. She is now named Derry and spending her summer the way we all should--under the air conditioner's breeze! Derry is so lucky to have found the Wheatcroft family who was willing to take a chance on her. Thanks to their patience and training, Derry is thriving in her forever home with her lookalike canine "sister" Dublin, living her best life!
