community ties, and build knowledge of the local ecosystem. All Cloud 9's programs are community-led. Those served by a program establish goals, and work with Cloud 9 to develop a program that meets their needs and builds upon their strengths. Our projects include a healing garden for adults in addiction recovery, a food pantry for low-income seniors, internships for youth and young adults, and a community garden for seniors.

We're in the process of adopting another garden site in Belmont down the block from the Friends' Garden for Peace and Understanding (our other site). One day, one of our team members saw that the mowed it. It's so much more manageable now. Thank you!!!

Sifting compost is hard work, but it’s time to get it done to prep for the fall crops!

No filter needed for this kind of beauty. Do you hear nature calling? 🌻

Weeding is hard work, but must be done! Here, @philly_plantmama pulls weeds from the garlic bed. All weeds are composted, so of course nothing in the garden goes to waste. Best weeding practice: pull them up as you go while tending to other garden tasks. You’d be surprised how this lightens the load a bit. Keep an eye out for the garlic harvest coming soon!
