NEUTER FOR A NICKEL: FEBRUARY 12

On Wednesday, February 12th we will be hosting a Neuter for a Nickel day, offering 100 cat neuter surgeries for just 5 cents each to the public. This event is designed to help combat the overpopulation of cats in our community, reduce shelter overcrowding, and prevent the suffering caused by unwanted litters.

To ensure the success of this important initiative, we are seeking $500 sponsorships. These sponsorships will help us provide this much-needed service to the community.

A huge thank you to all our incredible volunteers in 2024! Thanks to your dedication and support, our volunteers completed over 30,000 hours of service this year. Whether it was cat cuddling, dog walking, fostering, or attending off-site events, your efforts have made a world of difference in helping so many shelter animals find their forever homes.

Cat adoption fees are waived for 2025!

Thanks to our friends at Beth L. Deal Financial Group, all adult cat adoptions (6 months and older) are at NO COST in 2025 to the lucky approved adopter! Applications are required, so apply to adopt one of our furry felines at www.catawbahumane.org, and take home a bundle of love for FREE!
All adoptable cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations.

“PITTY PARTY" SPONSORSHIP

We’re excited to announce a new initiative called the "Pitty Party"—a special way to support our beloved pitbulls and pit mixes while they wait for their forever families! These incredible dogs are often overlooked in shelters, so we're asking for your help to give them a little extra love and attention.

When you sponsor a dog for $300, you’ll cover their general care while they're with us. But that’s not all! The sponsorship includes a fun “party” for the dog—complete with treats, a special cookie or cake, and media that shows them celebrating with their favorite staff members and volunteers.
