That’s me done for 2024!
I came into this year knowing I had to have a big operation with a 12 week recovery. Mentally and financially this was very difficult, and it was actually harder than I imagined. I’ve had some tough times over the last 6 years of Woodys Walkies but your loyalty, support and those happy faces when I walk through your doors are what keep me going. I feel I’m leaving 2024 bigger and stronger than ever and I just want to thank you all as I couldn’t do it without you!
I wish you all a happy and healthy Christmas and see you all back the week beginning 6th January.
Love Laura 🎄🎅💜
Lupins got the zoomies. Think she’s excited for Christmas 🤣
Forming a new Friday group. Wilf and Scrappys first walk together went well. Scrappy in true patterdale style got straight out the van and nose to the ground to enjoy all the new scents. Wilf loves a good sniff too so worked out superb 👌
Welcome to the team Scrappy!
Wednesday group
Plenty of zoomies for this group today. They can go from zoomies to just sniffing by themselves which is really good that they can switch back off again after play. Seven hasn’t quite learnt that life skill yet so we have to pop him on the lead to help him to calm back down. When the coast is clear these 3 can have more freedom offlead which makes my job even easier. This mud doesn’t 😂
🍁🍂 we are loving the Autum vibes today 🥰
My half term helpers are in this week earning some pocket 🤑💰
Fridays are a retriever kind of day 😍
A cancellation this morning means Buddy gets some 121 time. 🥰
Benji and Mac
Benji and Mac are just getting to know each other. This is their first time offlead together. They are both young and very energetic so offlead time at this stage is kept short. We use structure to our walks so the dogs are set up for success. At this young age they are not likely to just calm down themselves, like more mature groups, so they go back on lead and normally would have some sniff games to bring them back down but we can’t use food with these two so the perks of being out and about we can use the environment instead. In time they will learn to do this when I give them the signal that’s enough. Safety to my clients, myself and the public are the biggest priority when walking in groups. It takes time to build but it’s worth it.
We had a little switch up of groups due to holidays and weather so Jaxson met Benji and Mac. Paige who does her work ex with me was on hand to help also 🥰
Welcome Mack
Betty and Dave showed new team member Mack how we do things. Think he soon picked it up 🤣 sorry for my lack of social media posts. When life’s busy something has to give and social media is the least of my priorities. Always be assured we are still having great walks and lots of fun just not always caught on camera ☺️
