Childhood best friends, Alison Catherine White and Ashley Monroe, are
the co-founders of A Lady’s Dane. Inspired by their beloved dogs, Madison, Basia, Chloe & Piper, a pet boutique was born providing canine couture for large breed dogs. With their love of all things fabulous, chic and boasting special touches of bling, Alison & Ashley found it difficult to find dog products for their larger pups.
After endless hours of searching the internet and numerous conversations with other large dog families, they uncovered few boutiques that cater to large breeds. A spark was ignited within them and it was decided that day they would become Boutique Besties, providing an upscale, one-of-a-kind dog boutique for the “not so small” pampered pup. A Ladys’ Dane is your one and only destination, offering your pup an extensive collection of luxury and couture. Alison & Ashley grew up in a small, rural beach town community in Delaware, the “First State”. On a beautiful sunny day, and at the age of three, their paths crossed while attending a quaint little pre-school named Country Mouse. Nearly thirty years later, their relationship continues to
grow, cultivating a friendship to last a lifetime. Alison is a classically-trained opera singer, graduating from The Hartt School of Music in Conneticut with a Bachelor’s Degree of Music in
Vocal Performance. After college, her love for the big city took her to New York City performing at numerous venues and allowing her to live the dream. With her extensive background in the entertainment industry and event production, Alison began to produce unforgettable events for a renowned event planning company in New York City, overseeing multi-million dollar celebrity events. This then led her to work for Madison Square Garden Entertainment at their world famous venues in New York and Chicago. Most recently, she’s been able to provide her artistic visions with Disney on magical events around the world. Madison the youthful, adorable and slightly humanistic “Golden Girl” Retriever has touched so many people with her love and endless smile. Being a girly girl, she loves all things pink, with adornments of glitz. But, don’t let this side fool you, as she also loves being outdoors. She enjoys playing ball, fetching sticks, rolling around in the fresh cut grass, feeling the wind on her face while in the car, taking a boat ride, swimming in the pool, catching waves at the beach or bath time. But, above all else, Madison loves her family and being by their side at all times. Ashley is a successful executive working in the Property Management Industry. Ashley attended college at the University of Delaware, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Directly thereafter, she went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Wilmington College. Ashley is also a licensed Real Estate Agent in Georgia and holds multiple industry designations. After moving around while climbing the corporate ladder, Ashley has settled in Georgia where she enjoys a healthy mix of playing in the city and enjoying a slower life living in the suburbs. They are true to the breed characteristic of placing spending time with their family on the top of their priority list. They enjoy hiking, walking, boating, shopping, traveling, attending local events and they never get left behind due to their size! Basia and Chloe are litter mates and they possess totally different personalities. Basia is bold, confident, and adventurous, while Chloe is more timid and reserved. Chloe’s nickname is Eeyore (yes, Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh) as she has similar personality traits. Piper is the youngest of the three and was a perfect addition to the family. She’s always ready to play (or lay on the couch) and fills the role of a typical, younger sister by continuously nagging her older sisters! All three of these beautiful babies are sweet, loving sensitive, loyal and genuine Gentle Giants. Alison and Ashley are both humanitarians and animal advocates at heart. Each wants to do their part by leaving the world a better place, as witnessed by their volunteer work and monetary donations to a multitude of charitable organizations. All the groups that Alison and Ashley are involved in have the common goal of helping people and animals live better lives and improving the planet for future generations. Ultimately, they hope to use a portion of their proceeds from A Lady’s Dane to continue their work and mission towards the causes closest to their hearts.
