We're on a roll with the liberty training.

This video shows Phoenix starting the training for sidepass over a rail.

It's very new for him so a bit rough but it will be nice to see his progress in later videos.

You can see how willing he is.

This is a longer video bringing together some of the Liberty exercises we are working on.

It's unedited real time reality... haha. Phoenix is wet and dirty, he gets distracted a few times and my Great Pyrenees dog goes charging through the arena space. That's real life for all of us. 😊

The nice thing is with all of this Phoenix doesn't lose his connection with me. You can see how relaxed and focused on me he is.

This short film was put together by some awesome friends of mine.

It's so special to see Jane and Thomas speaking their language. They never lost their language so they speak it with the proper accent.

Jane Stelkia is the oldest elder on the Oliver/Osoyoos rez and Thomas Pierre is the oldest elder on the Penticton Rez.

My beautiful Phoenix comes from the Oliver/Osoyoos rez. Jane's son Aaron manages the horses and it was through him that I got Phoenix.

Here I'm working at Liberty with my wild child Phoenix.

First I'm leading from the outside in a figure 8 pattern, then I easily change to leading from the inside and then come to a nice easy halt.

His favourite part is when we get some cuddle time. He's so very affectionate 🧡
