Soooo, ticks the season! After finding a tick on my head, I gave Cassie a thorough inspection and, not surprisingly, found one on her as well. On some dogs ticks are easy to spot. Others, like Cassie, benefit from having a sturdy steel comb to look through all of her thick fur!

We went out to a less traveled part of the marsh today for a walk. Such a nice day, but there was wild parsnip was EVERYWHERE, even the mown trails! Be careful out there!

Happy !!! When it's HOT HOT HOT everybody loves a nice cool treat. PUPPOS INCLUDED! Making this puppy friendly "ice cream" treat couldn't be easier!

These recipes are all very similar, with 1 banana, 1 cup plain yogurt, and 1/2 cup (XYLITOL FREE**) peanut butter as the base. Blend it all up, pour into ice cube trays and freeze. That's it! You can also substitute pure pumpkin puree for the banana, add strawberries or blueberries, JUST use bananas, and more! Just search for dog ice cream! So many options!

*Always be aware of your dog's particular health, allergies, or special diet restrictions.
