it is with a very heavy heart that I write that Luna (Czornii Catch The Moon) mother of 8 amazing puppies. passed away on the 3/10/24 at the age of 10 years. She was one head strong bossy bu**er, destroyer of all balls, beds and toys.. when we got her at 1.5 years old we were told she had a damaged leg from a tree falling down in a storm into the puppy pen. Once we got her xrayed we found that she had had a break that the breeder’s vet didnt pick up and as it was missed the bone to her hip had dissolved. So we had to get a heap of muscle on her to strengthen her frame, the opposite of the then vets advice which was to keep her lean to keep the weight off it.. well luna had no issue with doing this!! She loved her food and slowly she was running around the place and you would forget she even was missing a hip... when she was 6 and a bit of a tank we talked to the vet about her carrying puppies which he said she could but we just need to keep a close eye on her.. well she just walked that in, until she just didnt have the muscle to push all the puppies out, and had the vets on call which they then took the last 3 out after 10 hrs of labour.. she recovered quickly and was an amazing mum to them all. well until 4 weeks where she was a bit sick of them at times but taught and dealt with them till 12 weeks where we had 3 boys she had to deal with for a few more months... she put up with john her son till the end which would put any one into an early grave...
she has left us with some amazing dogs, that are so special and keep her in our thoughts and hearts, (except john he was just a mummies boy and a spoilt t**t) here are some pics of her to remember her by..
