Want your business to be the top-listed Pet Store/pet Service?
Right Hand Ranch is a small family run Tennessee Walking Horse Breeding/ Training Facility. 5 minutes West of Blackfalds Alberta at the top of the Blindman Valley they also offer boarding to all breeds and disciplines. Daylan and Kendel Sigurdson and their two boys Wesley and Finnton live on the property, their young boys are the 5th generation to live in the main house, which is over 100 years old. Daylan and Kendel have a passion for breeding show quality Tennessee Walking Horses with exemplary natural talent, but also temperaments that allow for a versatile horse. Kendel offers gait training for Tennessee Walking Horses on site.
The facility is approximately 40 acres comprised of 3 large pastures and several paddocks that are equipped with automatic heated waterers and run in shelters to accommodate a range of feeding needs. Prior to purchasing the farm it had been used for cattle. Undertaking the renovation project to house equines has been an large and ongoing project, but we have been busy. Now all of the shared fences and front sections of each pasture are steel pipe and all paddocks are entirely steel. The insulated barn has 2 tack rooms to house boarders tack, space to tie your horse inside and one stall nearly ready to go in.
The 225 x 80 Outdoor Arena with sand footing and the 60 foot custom steel Round Pen are excellent for training in any discipline, but the trails that are accessible from the property are some of the best available so close to Red Deer. With 300+ acres of private treed land directly in the Blindman Valley, you can train for endurance, mountain riding, start colts on trails safely, or just enjoy pleasure riding along the river.
