Wild betta mahachiensis "blue" is now 40% off. Hurry before the end of the year!

Fish are very healthy and ready to breed.

Blue mahachiensis are a hybrid version of the wild betta mahachiensis. They are genotypically heterozygous with no metallics gene. Meaning spawning blue mahachai will only result in 50% blue with 25% grey, 25% turquoise. Non metallic means they will not change color under different angle of light. Care for blue mahachai is like any splendens with no specialized water perameters with clean water. Very easy fish to breed and care for!

NEW Coccina sp.!

This is not burdigala or uberis, this is a new species call sp. Makuatic. A burdigala type species with large robust body but with a spot on its flank, can be mistaken as uberis but as you can see it has stub face like burdigala. Unlike uberis it has a large strong body like that or burdigala. Not much is known so observation is necessary.

Some photo of my current stock of smaragdina buriram, these fish are bred by my good friend minh from vietnam and hand selected to be shipped to customers here in the US. Of course, all my fish go through a quarantine process, so they will be some of the best bettas money can buy.

Betta smaragdina "buriram" is a type of smaragdina with extra thick iridescence. They are spectacular and probably some of the best splendens in my stock.

Betta smaragdina "buriram"

How are they different from normal smaragdina?

I use to think this was a hybrid, but now I think that it is a naturally occurring smaragdina population.

The most distinctive feature of buriram is that their iridescence is much more "spread" and are thicker when compared to regular smaragdina. The iridescence between the dorsal fin rays are very thick and prominent. The thicker iridescence makes their metallic shine differently than Smaragdina guitars

I finally got a picture of these tiny little guys, parosphromenus sp. Tangkit. Sp. Tangkit are found in the Tangkit area near the city of Jambi. They are superficially similar to Bitan types and have very bright white/blue rims around the edges of their fins. Like are parosphromenus, they only eat live food and require special soft water.
