We were called to a country park in Bolton after members of the public became concerned about two swans’ feathers turning pink! 😨

‘Pink feather syndrome’ is caused by a fungus that develops when bread starts decaying in water. Their feathers become brittle and waterlogged, so it’s vital that they are treated as soon as possible.

Instead of feeding swans bread, you can offer them finely chopped greens, such as cabbage, spinach and lettuce, as well as mixed corn, grain, wheat or birdseed instead!

morning all!
another hot one so make sure your pets are in shade, have lots of available water..please give rabbits bowls as well as bottles in this weather. You can hang wet towels over runs, front of hutches to help cool air..remember to re wet during day. and remember the sun moves round so keep an eye on that shade!
please do not walk your dogs unless very early morning or evening to stop sunstroke and burnt paws. Keep your cats indoors as wildlife will be more sleepy and desperate for water so not so alert.
And fill those birdbaths and please put a couple of bowls on the ground for little creatures. Put a few stones in on ground bowls so bees can climb out if they fall in
and for yourselves, drink plenty and use sunscreen!

I can't take him to the beach for a walk because it annoys you and disturbs the vacation... I have no right to rent a house if I have a dog, nor can I take him on public transportation.

However, I can take it to the rubble to find you after an earthquake, in the woods after you got lost in the mountains and had no map or gps; under the snow because you took a detour forbidden off the track; in the water because despite the red flag you have entered the sea, and your life is in danger!

And finally ...

He is just a dog, but he or she will find you. And it will save you!!!

An old tired-looking dog wanders into a guy's yard. He examines the dog's collar and feels his well-fed belly and knows the dog has a home.

The dog follows him into the house, goes down the hall, jumps on the couch, gets comfortable and falls asleep. The man thinks its rather odd, but lets him sleep. After about an hour the dog wakes up, walks to the door and the guy lets him out. The dog wags his tail and leaves.

The next day the dog comes back and scratches at the door. The guy opens the door, the dog comes in, goes down the hall, jumps on the couch, gets comfortable and falls asleep again. The man lets him sleep. After about an hour the dog wakes up, walks to the door and the guy lets him out. The dog wags his tail and leaves.

This goes on for days. The guy grows really curious, so he pins a note on the dog's collar: "Your dog has been taking a nap at my house every day."

The next day the dog arrives with another note pinned to his collar: "He lives in a home with four children -- he's trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?' 😊

Seeing people come to buy fish and handing the owner, money, this cat went out and got a leaf to pay for her fish. On the first day, the owner of the shop thought this was very cute, so he gave her a small fish. Now everyday this cat comes in to buy a fish with a leaf.
