⏰ STELLA ROSE is URGENT and running OUT OF TIME ⏰

Stella Rose is looking for her Furever Home! She isn't thriving in a household with 5 dogs and could use a quieter environment. She is such a good girl and gets along so well, instantly, with many breeds, sizes, and temperaments of dogs, however, we feel she will do best with a male after slow and proper introductions. Stella is a very smart dog and learns cues easily. She is a happy dog who loves to cuddle with her person!
This beautiful, blocky-headed sweetheart is about to run out of time. Her current home is no longer sustainable, and we have been struggling to place her in a new home!

Why is she struggling in her home?
Stella Rose is not a dog meant for chaos. She’s currently living in a loud, overstimulating home with five other dogs, and it’s taking a toll on her sensitive soul. She’s shutting down, and it’s heartbreaking. What she needs is a calm, structured, and loving home — one that sees her for who she is, not the labels her DNA gives her.💕

So who is Stella Rose, really?
She’s a loyal lovebug.
She’s a playful goof.
She’s dog-social (especially with friendly males), cat-potential, and kid-friendly-ish with supervision.
She’s smart, crate-trained, non-destructive, and eager to learn.
She’s got big feelings and an even bigger heart.💖

But most of all? She’s ready for her person.

Where is she?
Currently in Missouri — but transport is available to approved fosters/adopters in MARR’s coverage area: IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, MO, NE, OK, WI.

How to help:

Already approved with MARR? Email: [email protected]
Not approved? Apply here: www.adoptarott.org/Adopt
Can’t foster or adopt? Donate: www.adoptarott.org/donate

Please, help us find her the calm, loving home she deserves. Share, tag, apply — just don’t scroll past.🐾

She’s not just another dog.
She’s our kind of dog — and maybe yours too.

Tank Tank is in a boarding facility in Missouri, transport is available for Fostering within MARR’s coverage area(details in post).
Tank was found as a stray, he has a microchip but it has no information and despite their best efforts, the shelter hasn’t located the owners. Tank had been trained as he responds to cues: sit, down, stay, crate. He is heartworm negative, UTD on rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordatella vaccines. He is house trained and crate trained. We’d ideally like to find him a new home with a responsible owner and preferably a fenced yard. Tank loves to play with the resident beagle and 12 and 16 year old kids. He can be timid around new people and can take time to trust. He can ride in the car but does get queasy on occasion. He can be reactive to small motorized bikes and recreational vehicles. Tank has a strong drive to chew but doesn’t direct that desire at shoes or household objects.
Notes from evaluator: Tank was totally fine with both female evaluators offering a rottie lean for pets and loved us the entire time. He will chase smaller animals so may not be the best with cats but reportedly does well with other dogs. Currently lives with teenage children and does fine. I would not recommend younger children as he still has puppy energy and does not know his size. Overall, Tank takes treats gently but will likely jump to try to get the treat if taking too long to give it to him. He is very friendly, receptive to touch and wants scratches. Physically, Tank appears to be in good condition. He knows sit, down, come and shake. He will need leash training as he is still all puppy energy and will pull towards something/somewhere he wants to go. Tank is a happy boy who is full of energy. He seems like a dog who is willing to please his people and always up for a game of tug or fetch. When he isn’t playing, he will come up for a lean and scratch. Tank is just a big puppy who is happy to be with his humans and wants to please. I feel he would do best in a home with someone who has the time and ability to provide him ample physical exercise and mental enrichment. He does reportedly have some touch issues that were not observed during the evaluation (i.e. flinching with hand over head or not liking his hind legs touched). I was able to touch his paws but he was quick to look at my hand without doing anything. The current owner reports he does not like nail trims and likely needs muzzled for them, so someone who is understanding of this and willing to work with him would also set him up for success.

Chapo is looking for his Furever Home!!! 🥰

He is being Fostered in Lee’s Summit, MO🙌🏽

Chapo is a sweet, loyal, and playful boy who can be a bit nervous meeting new people. He does best when he can come to you on his own terms, at his own pace. He will start sniffing and nudging when he’s ready for pets. Chapo seems to prefer women over men, and can be especially protective of children. He has experience around kids aged 4 and 6 years. While Chapo does not currently live with any small dogs, he has done well with one through a fence. With both male and female large dogs, he is very playful and submissive. It is unknown how he is with cats. Chapo is still learning to heel and how to behave well on a leash. Although he is usually correctable, he will occasionally pull and whine if another dog seems reactive. He does know “sit, down, come, muzzle, shake, and go home (go to his crate).” In fact, he willingly goes into his crate every night. He is not food aggressive, and will wait for permission to eat. While he is still learning how to take treats gently, he is very food motivated and is great at catching them! Chapo has grown and made so much improvement in the time he has been in foster care! He’s a silly, playful pup at heart. Very treat motivated and learned house rules, house and crate training very quickly. He loves his foster family and loves to be near his humans. He also plays well by himself and loves to play with all toys and balls. He also knows when to calm down and will be quiet and sleep all day quietly in his crate if you work nights. He does tend to be skittish and anxious meeting new people, so slow, gradual intros are a must. When he’s ready to meet you, he typically comes to sniff you on his own. ❤️

Ace is a great pup who doesn't know how big he truly is! He will make a great family member with the right adopter willing to teach him manners. Ace is very strong and does OK with dogs but doesn't know when other dogs are done playing. Loud and vocal dogs will cause Ace to get vocal as well. He passed his behavior assessment with no problems. When walking past people he'll try to lick/nibble on their hands in a playful manner.
Notes from evaluator: Upon meeting Ace he was a really friendly dog. I intentionally pulled on his ears, tail and poked at his feet to see if I received any negative reaction and I did not…not even so much as a grrr! He sat and took treats gently. I played tug of war with him and he enjoyed that. I took my son, who is 10 yrs old, and there were no issues with him. I didn’t see any negative issues at all except he does need some manners. He does jump on you and when the staff member opened the freezer to get out a kong with peanut butter he jumped right up like he owned the place. Ace does have a lot of energy especially when he first came into the room. He loved everyone and the staff member was a woman. He is definitely good with men, women and children from what I can see. Overall I think he was a really good dog and if I wasn’t already fostering a dog, I would definitely have fostered Ace. He will need structure and guidance so he can be a good rottie citizen!

MARR is dedicated to saving all Rottweilers regardless of their age, so we have decided to give our senior girls the spotlight they deserve.
Zoey Rae & Zailey are currently senior dogs who are available for adoption. The girls are not a pair, they are being fostered by separate individuals and would go to separate homes. 🐾

We want to increase senior adoptions because we know just how much senior dogs have to offer. Senior dogs are perfect for laid back households who want a couch potato and a snuggle buddy. You won’t need to spend hours after work running off your dogs energy because senior dogs are just happy that you are home. Don’t have time to teach commands like “sit” “stay” or “down”? Don’t worry our senior girls are smart and already know their basic commands. Did we mention you could completely skip the potty training and chewing your favorite shoes phase? That is definitely something to brag about. Worried that maybe your senior dog is gonna be boring? False, our senior girls love toys, treats, and affection just like any other pup. Don’t discount giving a senior dog a chance because they are just as lovable and deserving as the rest.🥹

In case, that didn’t change your mind we have one more trick up our sleeve. MARR is officially offering a medical stipend for any senior dog adopted. That means that MARR is willing to reimburse $1,000 for approved medical expenses on any senior dog adopted. (More details regarding the medical stipend will be discussed during the adoption process). This can help take the stress and worry about expensive medical bills out of the equation so you can just focus on loving your new senior companion. We believe all dogs deserve good homes and we are dedicated to ensuring no senior dog is forgotten. 🐶❤️

Zoey Rae is ready for Adoption! She is being fostered in IL, however, transportation is available for adoptions within our coverage area(details in post).
Zoey Rae a very sweet girl who loves people! She was turned into the shelter because her family got a divorce and moved, Zoey Rae couldn’t stay with them. She is very youthful and playful, her Foster parents thought she was only about 3-years old but the Vet confirmed she was closer to 7!
Zoey Rae’s previous family said she has done well with children. She doesn’t know her size and can bulldoze them so smaller kiddos that aren’t savvy with a big girl like Zoey Rae are probably not the best idea. She absolutely LOVES toys but is pretty rough on them. Sharing doesn’t come easily to her so she will need to be fed separately from any furry friends. She does really well in the house, but has been known to check out what’s on the counter . Zoey Rae is create trained but prefers to remain out, she loves cuddling with her humans on the couch. She gets a little uncomfortable at the Vet so she wears a muzzle during the examination. She’s a vocal girl and will whimper with excitement and has what they call the rottie rumble, especially when she is feeling playful and is not ready to give up a toy just yet. Zoey Rae has a chicken allergy, but Taste of the Wild Sierra Mountain Grain Free with Lamb has helped keep her tummy feeling fine. She takes treats gently, however, no chicken by-product for her…beef and cheese are a great substitute!
Zoey Rae does great in a car and will just relax and take a nap, her foster Dad uses an RTV on the farm and she jumped right into it for a ride—that was very cool! Cats and squirrels get her wound up, so a no-cat home is probably best. She gets along well with her foster brother for the most part, she is territorial over her food and toys so it’s best if she plays with them alone. She will do best in a home with a laid back and relaxed big dog friend but with slow proper introductions. Her foster parents wanted to keep her, she’s such a good Rottie, but there is a female clash going on between her and their resident female, so its best I go to a home with a friendly male or laid-back female. We believe she may not have learned, at a young age, how to properly react to an over exited furry friend but she is working on it with her foster mom. Zoey Rae is a work in progress, continued training will be helpful. She likes to get to know people on her own terms and will prefer to make the first move for pets and hugs but once she gets to know you, she loves pets and doesn’t mind being touched anywhere; she loves to have human contact with her besties. Zoey Rae would love to have her fur-ever home with a person or family who can devote lots of love and attention, she will be so loyal, affectionate and happy to be part of your family!

Rush is looking for a Foster or a Foster-To-Adopt 🤩

Rush is an 11 month neutered male puppy in O’Neill, Nebraska. 🐾

He does have special needs as he is deaf and will require training and patiences to be the best boy he can be 💙

A little bit about the handsome fella, Rush is in Holt County Animal Shelter. He had been adopted from Animal Shelter of Northeast Nebraska. Those first owners crate trained Rush but returned him to the shelter because they worked 10+ hours and could not give him attention or training. The second adopters learned he is deaf and realized they didn’t have the skills needed to train him. However, the shelter suspects that the second owners didn’t follow directions for crate or leash training. Rush is a friendly, playful puppy and has a shelter dog friend he adores and pals around with. In his first home he lived with a yorkie. He has lived with children. He does need a foster who is committed to training him and helping him learn impulse control. He has a tail and behaves well with the vet. He is up to date on shots and takes heart worm prevention. Notes from evaluator: Rush Eval Rush was born June 2024 and he has a tail. Rush is very loving and energetic. He adores toys and attention from people. A high school student is working with Rush teaching him hand signals. Rush knows sit. Rush has lived in a house with two kids. He gets along with dogs and his best buddy in shelter play group is a Pomeranian. Greg says he needs a foster and or adopter who can provide consistent training, learn hand signals and he will do well because he is responsive to treats. During the evaluation two young high school students played ball with Rush. During play, Rush did bark once because he wanted the ball and their attention.
