We can't believe it's already April! We went to two shows in March.
At Wiltshire:
In juvenile purebreeds, we got 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th best overall out of 27! We got 1st, 2nd and 3rd juvenile non-self and 1st, 3rd and 4th Juvenile self. Sunset, our 5-8 month sheltie, bred and very kindly gifted by Dickie Myers, got best juvenile non-self and best juvenile purebreed overall (of 27)! Sheep, our 5-8 month texel who was in the same breed class, bred by Suzanne Bornelov, got 2nd best juvenile purebreed overall! Astrid, one of our black cresteds, got 3rd Best Juvenile purebreed. Lacey got Best Juvenile self (of 10) and 4th best Juvenile Purebreed. Thanks so much to Julie Gallagher for liking our pigs.
Lacey also got Best saffron/buff/DEW/PEC in the open, and we got second with Pearl one of our baby buffs, who also got 3rd juvenile self.
In pets, Dahlia got 2nd juvenile pet sow (of 11) and 4th best Juvenile Pet overall (of 20).
We were also so lucky to win the member's trophies for juvenile pet and purebreed points for last year!
At Birmingham:
Sunset got Best Junior and Best Novice in the Sheltie Varieties show!
We got Best Juvenile Pet out of 18 with Silky and on to superpet (out of 45)! Our brother Ira showed his two piggies, Everest and Sylvan, for the first time and got 2nd Best Juvenile pet and 3rd superpet! Thanks so much Carol Payne for liking them!
In juveniles we were so happy to get 1st, 2nd and 4th Juvenile purebreed with Chips, Astrid and Lacey out of 25. Best, 2nd and 3rd Juvenile self and best Juvenile non-self.
We were also SO surprised and happy to do so well in the open too. Lacey got 2nd Best self (of 29) and 4th best in show! Astrid got reserve best short coated (of 45) and also went up for best in show judging! We couldn't believe it!
