We are back! Over the last couple years, wischt woodworking has been taking on VERY limited projects. We relocated (literally picked up and MOVED) the woodshop and built a huge barn in it's place. We added some more animals to our family ( 🐔 🐕). Oh, and we had our sweet second daughter, Dovie. This picture is the just the start as we get back to doing what we love. If you have had an idea on your Pinterest board that you'd like to see if we could execute, feel free to shoot us a message. We are not completely back into commission yet, as the new shop is still being completed, but we're looking forward to the future.

This massive slab you see is going to be a 2 inch thick live edge dining room table made from rock maple.

Attention friends, family, and anyone else interested 😊

We are set up with our spoiled chickens and they’re rewarding all of our hard work with eggs to sell. Eggs are $4.50 a dozen. We’re located in Medina and we can do porch pick up or if I’ll be seeing you, I’ll gladly bring the eggs to you! If you’ve never had real farm fresh eggs, you’re in for a treat and you’ll never go back to store bought.

All eggs collected twice daily and are stored unwashed. This keeps the bloom in tact and keeps the eggs good for months. Upon purchasing eggs, I can either leave them unwashed or I can wash them for you.

We accept cash, venmo, cash app, Apple Pay, Zelle, and PayPal.

Some beautiful nursery shelves for the sweetest baby boy! These are as custom as they come.

We made these shelves from locally sourced pine and stained in espresso to match mama’s glider. They are cut to fit perfectly between the wall and trim with a hole drilled to feed the cord for the monitor.

I’m slacking over here! Some months ago, I had posted the progress pics of paul working on the slabs for these shelves, but never the finished product. I can’t believe I haven’t posted before now!

These live edge floating shelves turned out AMAZING in this home bar. They’re 2 inch thick solid elm. We even routed a track for LED lights which makes for the awesome effect you see in the last picture.

Just an update on us! Yes, we’re still here and yes we’re still woodworking! Over the last year we’ve been adjusting to life as new parents, which brings on this post. 🤍

Co-sleeping mamas, listen up! We’re hooked on custom built sidecar cribs.

👶🏼 Makes for easy late night nursing sessions, or even just back rubs and snuggles.
👶🏼 Eases the anxiety that comes with having your little one far away, whether that be down the hall or in a bassinet across the room.
👶🏼 Helps baby gently fall and stay asleep since mama can just roll away and back to her own space. This makes for more sleep for baby, mama, and dad!
👶🏼 Custom consultation is included so the crib hooks directly to your bed to ensure a very snug fit to baby’s mattress. This is to follow the “safe sleep 7” to make sure there is no chance of gaps between mattresses.
👶🏼 Sidecar cribs are build with locally sourced lumbar.
👶🏼 They can be finished with any stain or paint, or we recommend the non-toxic boiled linseed oil as shown in the second lighter sidecar crib.

*pricing starts at $650 for sidecar cribs, you provide the mini crib sized mattress for us to measure and build to fit.

**Wischt Customs does not build cribs for nurseries. This because many babies chew on their crib rails when teething and we do not want to risk babies ingesting wood or finishings. Sidecar cribs are meant to be used with parents in bed with baby and we’ll always recommend metal cribs for nurseries.

** We strongly advise all cosleeping parents follow la leche league international’s safe sleep 7 if you’re planning to cosleep and not to leave baby unattended🤱🏼

This Montessori toddler floor bed turned out so cute! Built from solid pine finished with non-toxic boiled linseed oil to keep a very natural tone to the wood. This bed fits a twin mattress for a 2 year old and was custom designed to look like a little house! 🤗

Check out this BEAUTIFUL dog crate with a solid ash live edge top from a tree recently cut down on the property. The base of this crate is solid pine, no mdf or particle board is ever used in our furniture. The crate is finished two-toned with stain for the base and for the top, a gorgeous tung oil to really bring out the unique characteristics of the slab.

This crate doubles at a tv stand with a flip down door on the front of a shelf to hide wires and boxes to keep a nice minimalist look.

Don’t let the sad looking pittie fool you, she loves snuggling with her sister and brother.
