Finally clearing the tears from our eyes enough to choose some photos of our Good Big Boy, Gilbert.
(Although they aren’t stopping now as I type.😢)
We lost our loyal boy, dad to many beautiful puppies, giant love of our family on Monday night.
9 years and 5 months. August 27, 2015 - January 27, 2025. 🌈
Our lives were blessed to have Gilbert in our world! ❤️
He was the most handsome guy. Soft kind eyes. Beautiful markings. Happy to be with you. Protective of our home and family. Could take a treat softer than anybody’s business. Loved to talk and greet us every morning and when we’d come home. He would walk sideways and hop, so excited, while keeping his eye on you to walk us to the door. He was a great dad and loved the puppies. Loved a car ride and wanted a good seat. Gilbert needed to put his paw on the human dad’s foot whenever he was sitting and had his legs crossed. I think it was his fatherly pact and handshake that they were taking care of everyone. He was the gentle giant!
Hug all your puppies!!! If you have one of Gilbert’s puppies - They have a piece of Heaven in them now! 🥰
