Is your dog up to date on their parvovirus vaccination? ๐
Weโre currently experiencing a surge in parvovirus cases at our Brisbane Community Vet Clinic in the Woodridge, Logan Central and Kingston areas. This highly contagious virus can be fatal, particularly for unvaccinated dogs and puppies. Parvo causes severe gastrointestinal illness and can progress rapidly without timely treatment.

To protect your furry friend:
1. ๐๐ป๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป: If you havenโt yet, make sure your dog or puppy is vaccinated against parvovirus. Once your pup receives its initial parvo vaccine it will need to have a booster once every three years. Regular vaccinations are crucial in preventing this potentially deadly disease.
2. ๐๐ผ๐น๐น๐ผ๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐: If your dog is unwell or showing symptoms, please call ahead before visiting the clinic. On arrival, stay in your car and call our reception to let us know you're here. A nurse will come out to triage your pet.
Parvovirus is covered by the C3 vaccination.
