This is a darling little shrew in the yard next door. Luna found it in on our walk. She had it in her mouth and I made her drop it. It kept on going like nothing ever happened. It was about 3 to 4 inches long. Shrews, unlike moles, live above the ground. They are very beneficial in that they eat a lot of insects that destroy lawns and plants. Shrews use the mole tunnels to find grubs, earth worms, and other tasty insects.
