☑️ If you have had resident pets within the last 5 years, have proof of up to date medical care handy.
☑️ If you are a renter, have your lease handy or other written confirmation from your landlord that your residence is pet friendly.
☑️ All members of your household (including any resident dogs) must be present for the adoption.
☑️ Keep an open mind! Popular animals are likely to receive multiple applications, but we have several great pets in need of homes! 💙
💫 PRO TIP - If you apply before the event, you may be able to get pre-approved which can speed up the process on the day of!

We so desperately want Dora to find her forever home!
Meet Dora, a sweet 8-month-old Shepherd mix. Dora had a super rough start to life, being found in an abandoned dumpster and then spending months on the run in Staten Island before we were able to catch her. However, Dora has finally left those days behind and is now living her best life full of snuggles, treats, and love. ❤️
Dora is not just adorable—she’s incredibly smart too! She’s already mastered crate training and house training, with zero accidents in foster care. She’s the perfect work-from-home buddy (though does incredibly well while her foster mom works outside of home) and a true explorer at heart. 🐾 Dora loves long walks around the neighborhood, eagerly sniffing out new scents and making new friends—both human and furry!
Her foster family can’t stop raving about how well-behaved she is. Dora stays quietly in her crate when needed, sleeps soundly through the night, and enjoys the company of her four-legged foster sister. This incredible, resilient pup would make a great addition to any family, and would love to be yours forever!

We have exciting news about Trio, our brave tripod Boston Terrier puppy!🐾
Trio arrived into our care after having his leg bitten off a few days after birth, and we soon discovered that his front elbows were both dislocated due to a congenital deformity. Thanks to your support, Trio has undergone medical evaluations, and his prognosis is good! Although he won’t ever walk normally, the doctors are optimistic that Trio’s legs will be pain-free, and that he can live a normal life as a special-needs dog. ❤️
Trio is unfortunately not a candidate for surgery, but he does have some options to maintain his current level of mobility. The next step in Trio's treatment plan is a set of custom non-jointed leg braces to stabilize his elbows, costing approximately $1,000. He will also need a custom-fitted wheelchair once he finishes growing.

Help Trio's Road to Recovery!
Trio is our most recent arrival: a 12-week-old Boston Terrier rescued from a puppy mill. When he arrived, we knew right away that something was wrong. Though we knew he was missing a hind limb, we soon realized that he was not walking normally. Instead of walking on his feet, Trio was crawling on his front elbows.
When Trio was brought to the vet to determine the cause of the problem, his x-rays were shocking. His front ulnas are bilaterally dislocated from the elbow joint, and his humerus is badly bowed and deformed. This is what’s causing his walk—he has minimal to no use of his elbows. We booked him the soonest appointment we could at an orthopedic vet for a specialty consultation.
We don’t yet know what Trio’s treatment plan will look like, but it is likely to include at least a few orthopedic consults. It is also possible that he’ll need surgery, additional therapies, or other life-saving measures to ensure his quality of life. Right now, we’re raising funds to be prepared for whatever his course of treatment may be.
We’re planning on updating once we know for sure Trio’s prognosis and his treatment plan, but for now, help us help Trio! Meet Bourbon, a four-month-old Pit Bull/Australian Shepherd mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in March. Despite our best efforts to provide him with a loving environment, Bourbon encountered serious health challenges shortly after his arrival.
Just days into his stay with us, Bourbon developed severe swelling in one of his legs, signaling a troubling infection. Despite our immediate action and vet visits, Bourbon's health took a turn for the worse, leaving him lame and in excruciating pain. A diagnosis of suspected septic arthritis confirmed our fears.
Bourbon is only three months old, and yet he's already endured so much. But he's not alone. With your support, we're giving him the specialized care and comfort he deserves in his foster home. However, his road to recovery will be long and costly.
