Duke is a 3-year-old Aussie/Heeler with a big heart and even bigger potential. He’s sweet, loyal, great with kids, dogs, and chickens — but he needs a secure yard and a home that understands working breeds.

His current family is heartbroken but knows they can’t keep him safe with a 4’ fence he keeps jumping to chase/herd the horses next door. Duke is an amazing dog who just needs the right match.

Maddy’s Last Cry — Don’t Let It Be Her Last 💔

She sits perfectly still, her back turned, face buried into a cold wall — not because she’s shy, but because she’s given up. Maddy, a three-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix, has known only rejection and fear inside these shelter walls. Every second is a countdown. Her silent plea is clear: "Please, not like this." Her time is vanishing — today could be her last day.

A medium-sized dog with a speckled blue-tick coat sits motionless in the corner of a sterile kennel, her head pressed into the tile wall, as if trying to disappear. Her ears are pinned back in fear, her body language tense yet defeated. The room is cold, the gray flooring and tiled walls stark, lifeless. There’s no softness. No kindness. Only the heavy silence of abandonment and a fast-approaching end.

🐾 Meet Osmosis

Osmosis is a classic Heeler—smart, energetic, and driven by instinct. He went to a home with children and did well overall, but his natural herding instincts kicked in and like many Heelers, he tried to “herd” the kids, lightly nipping at their heels. It’s just his instinct—not aggression—but he’d do best with a family familiar with the breed or in a home without small children.He came to us with Hank, and maybe good with others. Feel free to bring your dog to see how they interact together.
