Looking for the perfect situation:
Guillermo is a 12-15 year old unpapered Andalusian that I picked up out of a bad situation. 15.1 hands. Since getting him we have added about 150 pounds, and gotten him more comfortable being handled. Since coming in January he has gotten his teeth done and vaccinations and coggins up to date. Currently barefoot with good, strong feet.
Guillermo is looking for a person who has experience working with abused and neglected horses. He is slow to trust and has quick reactions.
While he is gorgeous, he is not going to be for most people. We have ridden him, but he needs someone that will go SLOW and do all the preparatory restarting work. New situation needs to understand that he has baggage and have experience working with similar horses.

Reese Classical Dressage in Powder Springs, GA is looking to add a working student to our team! Learn from a USDF bronze and silver medalist to increase your skills and be part of a fun and dynamic team!
Duties include:
🟡 Grooming and tacking performance horses for training
🟡 Helping with warm up, cool down and occasional hacking.
🟡 Occasional barn chores to help our current staff, but this is a very minor part of the position.
Candidates should:
🟡 Have reliable transportation and be willing to communicate.
🟡 Have previous experience with horses
🟡 Be willing to learn and enjoy a good laugh.
Working student will receive a daily lesson on one of our horses to further their dressage knowledge. Show opportunities may be available to the right candidate. Gas stipend can be provided. Unfortunately no housing is available at this time so local to Powder Springs, GA is a must.
Gigi is the sweetest 9 year old Holsteiner mare that has been with me for the last two weeks and is looking for a new dance partner!
She has all the makings to be a nice upper level horse, or an all-arounder!
(I wouldn't hate it if someone wanted to buy her and keep her in training with me).

Little Ms. Juliette had her first show ever on Lily scoring a 68% and a 69% at Intro!! 💥💥
Pippa, owned by Ashley Plemons did her first tests at Training level. We put in two lovely tests for a 68.4 (and we didn't hang around for the second score). Overall we were so pleased with how this lovely 4 year old handled the environment and kept it together for two lovely tests. 🌸🌸

Piper and Lily WON their Starter Division CT yesterday at the Chattahoochee Hills Eventing Southeast Schooling Show Championships. Piper and Lily won on their dressage score of 31.7 and a clean jump round!

We had another great show with Flight Line Dressage Shows at the beautiful FullCircle Horse Park.
Erin Fusaro had an awesome show with her boy Determination, scoring a 65.6, a 63.4 and a 62.2. I am so pleased with the consistency in her scores and her constant improvement 💪
Ohanna "Pippa", owned by Ashley Plemons, scored a lovely 76.5 and 76.2 in the materiale. Both judges had great comments and said they think she will be a fantastic horse in the future. I'm thankful to be supported by owners who support me in allowing their babies to have positive experiences in however they need them.

To finish out our weekend we got to cheer on my amazing friend and coach Laura Abner Dressage who finished 4th in the GP Championships. 🎉🎉🎉 SO MUCH FUN and I'm so proud of everyone!

River's Princess is a 2007 17.1 hand Zweibrucker mare looking for her new partner.
Izzy is an absolute sweetheart and a favorite in the barn. She has the most polite ground manners and stands quietly for the farrier, bathing, clipping, grooming etc.
She has shown through 3rd level with scores to 72%. She knows half steps, has beautiful clean changes and has all of her lateral work.
Izzy was purchased for my client in Jan 2022 with plans to teach my client the upper level movements, however due to life Izzy has sat on the back burner. She is currently not fit for competition and while she is quite capable of showing again in the future, she will need some fitness work.
Izzy is very safe under saddle, no shenanigans at all. She is NOT, however, an uncomplicated ride. Due to some rough riding in her past and an abscessed tooth (which has since been taken care of), Izzy needs a patient rider who is willing to take the time to earn her trust. With soft hands. Izzy will come nicely into the connection.
Priced at in the mid- low 5's but very negotiable to the perfect home. We will be very picky about who takes this incredibly kind mare as she deserves someone that will take the time to build a relationship with her. Price will increase with fitness and return to the competition arena.

Jenna and her amazing boy Titan CLEANED UP at the Flight Line Dressage Shows Scenic in the City show today! 💪
I wasn't able to be there to cheer Jenna on due to a massive kidney infection, but Jenna won both of her classes with a 65.1 at First 3 and a 69.7 at First 1! This is just Jenna's second time showing First 3 and she came home with a qualifying score for regionals, High Point Adult Amateur and Unicorn High Point Award - Adult Amateur!
I'm SO looking forward to regionals with such an amazing team of riders!

My ladies SHOWED up this weekend despite the heat and showed the judges exactly how much hard work they've been putting in. 💪
🎉Diana Salzmann and Roxie came out and scored their personal best scores of 63.3, 65.5, 66.6 and 66.7 at Training Level. I don't even know how to describe how proud of this pair I am with how hard they have worked to become a real partnership at the shows. 🎉
💥Ashley Plemons and Birdie once again SLAYED. Ashley got her First level scores for her bronze medal with a 68.8 and a 69.6 at their first time out at first level!! They also won the Pamela Kimble Adult Amateur Award for highest score of the entire show with a 74% at Training Level. Bring on Regionals!! 💥

This weekend's labor of love was digging out the sides of the arena and regrading all of the edges so we have a nice flat arena to work on.
HUGE shout out to Jenny and Jesse for helping rake all of it flat. We have the BEST people keeping us going ❤️
Bit by bit we're making improvements to create a better experience for our boarders. We went from one big shared tack room to individual lockers for each boarder as well as an additional back tack room for overflow!
Now all of our saddles have an organized place to live!
What a great weekend at the Good Horseman show at the Horse Park.
won her training level class with Roxie at her first show back in six years! I also took Roxie out at First level securing our spot at regionals!
' mare, Birdie, blew us out of the water at only her second show. We've only had Birdie about 75 days and she's really proven to be a rockstar. She earned a 67 at first level, and a 72 and a 73% at training level. Birdie also has a spot at regionals!
and Titan also rocked out at first level with scores well into the 60's and a lot of blue and red ribbons.
As always we couldn't do this without all of our horses being in saddles. They keep all of our horses doing their best.
I wish I had a photo of the back of the barn from when we moved in. All it was was two stalls on the far left, then a 12x24' boarded up storage, a 12'x18' chicken coop and another storage closet on the right.
Since moving in Jesse and I have jacked up the roof of the barn 3 separate times to reinstall supports (in turn leveling out the dip in the roof by a full foot), turned the 12'x24' storage into two more stalls, and converted the chicken coop into a horse stall.
In the past month we have completely releveled all of the stall fronts, and I built 5 new stall doors and a new door for the back tack room which Jesse and my wonderful father-in-law have installed. Slowly but surely we're turning it into our dream barn 🥰
And I couldn't do any of this without my amazing clients who stick with me. I know we didn't start out as the fanciest barn in the neighborhood, but we're making the improvements, little by little.
Jenny and Laura killed it today at Chatt. 42* and raining all day led to extremely sloppy conditions but they both showed up and did the thing!
Laura got a solid score in the 60's and a second place at her first show with Django EVER. Django hasn't been out in a year and a half and Laura hasn't been in the dressage arena at all before, so their debut at First level is nothing to sneeze at!
And our in-house eventer, Jenny, knocked it out of the park with Lucy taking home a first in the Beginner Novice CT winning on their dressage score of 30 and a clean jump round!

Super thrilled to have new sand footing in our arena! Hopefully by the end of 2023 we'll be able to add our GGT to give our footing a little more water retention, bounce and traction.
We're constantly working on little projects to make our facility better for our horses and our people ❤️ I'm including a photo of our arena when we moved in during 2020. A lot of progress in 2.5 years!
I think of all the barn upgrades we've done since moving in this one has given me the most anxiety. But it's finished! We officially have our mirrors up and are excited to offer this incredible training tool.

My barn is the absolute best. On a whim last week I decided I would set aside the weekend to power wash the barn and stain all the stalls.
This weekend my group SHOWED UP. We power washed the barn, stained all the stalls, tore out a wall and completely rewired it and then put up a new wall, rebuilt our tack room door and painted and stained literally everything.
My minor project turned into a big one and I couldn't have pulled it off without everyone!
Can't wait to have our new footing and mirrors at the turn of the year. We're getting down to business!

Abby Hammill was awarded her rider performance awards at Training and First level! Abby has only been with her partner, Elko, since November and achieved both of these awards in only two shows!
Jenna Williams and Jamie Lyle won the Spring Fling Team Champion at the GDCTA Spring Fling Schooling show. These two work their BUTTS off every week and it shows in the scores!

This was Jenna and Titan's first recognized show EVER and they came home with Adult Amateur Reserve High Point Champion!! In training level test 1 she scored a 69+% and in Training level test 3 she earned her second score for regionals with a whopping 70.5%. Did I mention her horse Titan is only 5?!?!!!! What an amazing way to start your show career!!!
And then Abby and Elko earned their highest score to date, a 72.4% at Training 3. This was the last score she needed for her rider performance award for Training level and it earned her JR/YR HIGH POINT CHAMPION for the show. Her Training level score yesterday earned her the High Point Farm Jr/Yr High Point award. She then went into her First Level test 3 and earned over a 68% giving her her second qualifying score for regionals and her last needed score for her First Level Rider performance award.
I am blown away and so so excited for these ladies and their horses. Awesome, awesome job!
Our first day at the Good Horseman Foundation's February show was a great success!
Abby and Elko had a very successful training level class ending with a 68.6% with a lot of room for improvement. She also earned her first regional qualifying score for first level with over a 65% and again won her Dressage Seat Equitation class with a 79%.
Jenna and Titan knocked their first recognized show out of the park with a 65% in Training 1. She earned her first qualifying score for regionals with a 67.2% at Training level test 3 and a 72% in Dressage Seat Equitation.
Nugget won a Good Dog award 🤣🤣 and wore himself out greeting all his new friends.
I'm so proud of everyone. They have worked week after week to improve and their scores have reflected their hard work. ❤️❤️
