Meet Lilo - 5 years old - spayed female - NEEDS TO BE THE ONLY DOG IN THE HOME
Meet Lilo! Are you mesmerized by her eyes? Lilo is a cutie with one blue eye and one brown eye (heterochromia). No need to worry. There’s nothing wrong with them, that’s just the way she was born! Lilo landed in foster after being brought to the local shelter as a stray with severe mastitis, having been bred recently and probably many times before. The infection has been treated and she has a clean bill of health.
Lilo is the perfect foster. She loves attention and a good game of fetch, but also enjoys laying in her bed while chewing her bone or snoring herself to sleep. Lilo is such a polite house guest and is 100% crate trained and 99% housetrained as well. She has had a couple of accidents in her foster home over the course of two months, but quickly reverts to going outside with some positive reinforcement.
Lilo is smart as a whip and learned to sit and touch in about 10 minutes. She has even mastered the doggie door. She is a confident girl and loves to play with her toys. She walks well on the leash and is not dog reactive. She has not met a human she doesn’t like and she gets along wonderfully with children. Her foster family fell in love with her and were ready for her to be a “foster fail”, but she and the resident dog did not take to each other. That being the case, Lilo would like to be the queen of her castle and the only dog in the home. She is not tested with cats, but seems to have a slight prey drive, so cats are probably not going to mesh well with her.
Lilo is vetted, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is a wonderful dog and her forever family will be very lucky to have her.
