Bill answers the question about how to desensitize outside of the Round pen and what that may mean for you... You have to be able to ride them through the "storm" and it takes exposure to these things, no way around it, other than to go do it and ride the storm.

Great Horsemanship = Great Horses

A wise person once said to “Never stop learning”. Horses are great teachers for those that are willing to listen.

Whether you are a weekend warrior, full-time rancher, or a competitive arena rider we can offer solutions for you and your horse to become better, more connected, and more solid.

Bill Oliver is not your ordinary horseman. His method of working with horses has evolved over the years to produce horses with solid foundations. He incorporates things taught by horseman such as Ray Hunt or Monty Roberts, and his 22+ years managing the equine division of the Forest Service. Accustomed to all levels of horses and riders, Bill works with the novice horseman up to the advanced rider.

He believes in horses having a solid foundation in the early years of their training so they can be more successful in the rest of their days of riding. He believes in natural horsemanship with some common sense. He has seen hundreds of horses (and mules) with many personalities and differing levels of training. Getting their mind and listening to them through subtle body language are top techniques he will teach in his clinics.
