Hi! I am Barley’s Mom, Claudine. Barley was our handsome English Springer Spaniel who we sadly lost in August, 2018 when he was 10-1/2 years old. Barley was our 3rd Springer: Before him we had Guinness for almost 16 years and Dudley for 10 and as a kid we had many dogs including a Great Dane named Coffee. As you can tell, dogs have been part of my life since I was a kid growing up in Perry Hall.
When Barley passed away suddenly, it broke our hearts. It did not however take away our love for dogs. We thought about getting another dog but my biggest concern was getting someone to watch our beloved baby while we vacationed. Over the years, I tried various kennels but I just would worry to death how my pup was doing. Was anyone giving them the love and care they got at home? Probably not. This inspired my idea offering dog sitting for other dogs, in my Abingdon home.
Your dog will be treated as a member of our family, just like our dogs were . I do not work so your pooch get my full attention, will be pampered and get the run of the house all day. We have a fenced yard and I have a 24-year old daughter that also loves dogs and loves taking them for walks. If your dog has special concerns, like medicine to be administered, we can do that based upon your instructions. If they get scared during thunderstorms and need an extra cuddle, we will be there for them.
In addition to taking care of their needs, we will send you pics and updates of how they are doing daily either by text or email (whichever you prefer) or you can call me anytime. You can have total peace of mind and enjoy your vacation knowing your doggie is having his/her own vacay as well!
I will only take one dog at any time unless you have two. I will not have other dogs in the house at the same time as your pets.
My rates are $35 per day for the 1st dog and $30 per day for additional companions. This is an all-inclusive rate. I do not charge extra for walks, administering medicine, etc. My only requirement is that your dogs are up to date on their immunizations
