Update: we hit it! Due to a couple of generous donors at the end we pushed over the line and we pick up the trailer tomorrow. I'm going to change the photo in this post to the new trailer itself. I will update the thank you post and try and figure out how to update everything to where I don't have nine different posts saying thank you. But thank you everyone we did it with the help of all of you!

This post is intended as our final push to get us across the finish line. We are so close to our goal that I have already scheduled an appointment to look at trailers tomorrow (1-26-24).

I have not updated our thank you/status post since 1-23-24. This is due to the fact donations slowed down drastically after the first few days of our donation drive. Please know we appreciate all of your efforts so far! The outpouring of affection and the level of giving has been heartwarming to say the least! To those that have spread the word for us but are unable to give, I promise, your efforts brought donations from people I have never interacted with yet still donated. Thank you all!

Let's get down to the numbers. I have one more donation to collect for $2000 which, without a doubt, I will collect when I am ready. This means I have raised just over $12,000 which is enough to purchase a trailer! This is great news! However, there is still a small hill to climb on this journey. There will be other additional costs and fees that are not included in the cost of the trailer itself. I will need just over $1000 for insulation and high heat adhesive to hang it. I will need Electrical lines to take power from the truck to run all but the A.C. units. This is a high heat 0 gauge line and connectors. I will need 30 ft/$4.50 a foot. I will need to install a rubberized liner on the floor and walls which is $80/gal and I will need 4 gallons. Lastly, DMV will want their pound of flesh!

I have close to $1000 I have to put towards incidentals. This leaves me needing around $1000 more in donations to know that I can have this new trailer on the road no later than the weekend of 1-3-24! That is a full week earlier than I had estimated and is 100% a possibility if I know I have the funds for anything that comes up along the way.

If you are wondering what layout/brand of trailer we will purchase.... So am I! I have 3 to look at and I have learned so much over these last years I need to see them in person. I will post photos of my options when I see them or I may drag one home and post.

If you can help us cross the line and get back to what we do best please donate at:

Venmo:
PayPal: [email protected]

When we hit our final number I will announce the good news and ask that no more donations are sent as there are other worthy causes that need your help!

Update! As of 12:30, in under 3 hours, we reached our goal and exceeded it by $100. Thank you so very much for all your love and support! I have already paid the bills that were behind. $2,500 raised. I don't even have words to fit how much I appreciate all of you!

As of now I have removed the PayPal and venmo addresses. We hit $2,500 in just under 3 hours. Thank you to Victoria who absolutely came in Swinging with a $500 donation and to Jessica for the same. I don't know what else to say guys asking for help isn't something I usually do and seeing the result of it is mind blowing!

We really need your help ASAP! I've only asked for help publicly one other time and that was for treatment for an FIP kitten. So, as before,, with hat and pride in hand we ask for your help. And to be direct I have spent every dime I have made over the past 5 years on maintenance and keeping this company going through slow times. I've run out of ideas so here we are.

Recently there have been setbacks I havent encountered at this level before. Twice, in the past two months I've had to, not only repair, but replace several parts of the suspension on the trailer. Both times needing a welder, parts and custom steel brackets built. Each week I don't run there is still over $600 in bills that have to be pushed to the next week. The truck is $2,400 a month and that's a good deal. So run or not that $600 gets paid out. Add that to any other company bills like cellular phone insurance and other things needed on a weekly basis and you can see how it adds up and gets stacked on the next week. That cycle is sustainable for one week every couple months but not twice. Also, due to a Slowdown in adoptions, I've had to cancel twice in that same time period. Now you can see where this has added up to. Currently I'm sitting at $2400 behind. And, unlike every other time, I can't see a clear solution to this problem.

You may ask yourself why am I overhead is so high. I drive a diesel truck because they're reliable far more than a van and other forms of gas transportation. It can run dirty it can run in Smoke and in 5 years I've had one breakdown in well over 500,000 miles. That's worth every penny. Beyond that, everything I use is the highest quality I can get my hands on including the insulation, 10 ply tires, high quality air conditioning units and anything else needed for transport. Yes, it costs a lot of money but that's why none of you have had to scramble to come and get your animals halfway through transport.

Having said all that, here's the rundown. I need to recoup two weeks of truck payments and that's $1,200. I need to do a tune-up on the generator and replace several batteries in the trailer very soon. I need to rewire the lighting system and to do it right, as I always do, I will buy high-end wiring so it doesn't need to be done again for a very long time. California absolutely beats on my equipment in ways you wouldn't believe and it's expensive to keep the preventative maintenance going so those cancellations don't happen.

Unless I can get help with $2,400 from all those people that support us then after this week we will be shutting down transport for an indefinite amount of time. I'll be taking a loss this week but there are people counting on it this week that have already pulled dogs and I will not fail them.

Thank you to everyone that has supported us over the years and made donations at Key times to keep this going. If it has to end then we end on a powerful note. Over 5,000 animals transported in 5 years. Over well over 500,000 miles driven with no less than 2400 miles weekly to transport animals from 25 States.

Thank you to everyone for all your support!

Sometimes the days are small. In a world where everything is judged by its intensity, greatness and size some days are just small days.

When you have a kitten that's no bigger than 1 lb fighting for its life and it's little tiny small paws reach out to you for love, protection and comfort that's a small day!

When a tiny kitten whose tiny heart is fighting to beat another beat and you wake up after a night expecting heartbreak and that little heart is still beating. That's a small day!

When you take kittens from a gas station who spend their time biting you and scratching you and you wake up and they're laying on your chest right against your neck. That's a small day!

When a bottle baby kitten starts to wiggle its butt before it pounces, and learns to use its tail for balance. That's a small day!

When people ask why we do this through all the heartache, all the struggles and all the pain. That's a small mind!

The smallest of things bring the smallest, most rewarding, days! Let these things be huge in your small life!

Take the time to educate those around you on how rewarding a small day can be!

They are small! We can make their lives huge!

Today, 5 years ago, was our first run. More than 10,000 animals transported and more than 220 runs. Thats more than 600,00 miles.

Just a couple of fun facts. The director of the ASPCA National makes $71,000 to $120,000 per year. Did you also know that they don't give their money to the local shelters? No, when you donate to the National branch that money does not trickle down. Kind of like franchising. Just saying!

As a follow-on, as promised, here's the second part of the Madeira gas station kittens story. Meet Omen! Along with being very cute, this little guy gave me many restless nights because he's that third kitten I couldn't find when I trapped his two siblings. The One That Got Away, so to speak! After catching his sister and brother, Maddie and madison, I kept going back to look for this guy over and over. Two weeks ago, an employee that I've been talking to on and off for a little while happened to mention she was trying to catch that third kitten. So we went out to the truck, and I loaned her my trap. About a week later, she called me and told me he went right in the Trap for a Slim Jim! Yes, the crappiest pepperoni stick on the planet seemed to have been irresistible to this guy.

He wanted to go home with her, and there's no doubt about that. He had been coming up to her car for quite some time, and she could almost get a hold of him. Then, as you can see in the progression of photos, he went from Trap to be in touch in one night. Within a couple of days, he has now decided that her boyfriend is his new dad. He's going to have a very good life, and he turned himself into a house kitten over just a couple of days. Somebody, please try to tell me that's a kitten that didn't want to go home with her??

Now I haven't put her name on here because I think she may want her privacy, but the nice young lady that caught him has decided to adopt him. So, we donated to cases of wet kitten food and provided a collar and identification tag. Now, we're going to work with her to get him neutered and vaccinated along with a microchip.

Have a great life little guy!

Close to 2 months ago, I was getting fuel at one of my normal fueling locations, which is Rocket Fuel in Madera, California. I always stop there for fuel, both Northbound and Southbound. I was getting ready to leave at around 2:00 in the morning after fueling up and I saw three kittens tucked over by the big fuel tanks. I went back inside I got wet food and tried to catch them but I was unable to get them that night. So after going there for 3 weeks after that I finally brought back a trap and had a good friend meet me there in the middle of the night to try to trap these kittens. We had good and bad luck that night as we only caught two of the three kittens which are in the photos you were seeing attached to this post. And of course they were all claws, teeth and fur. One of their favorite activities was to bite me or scratch me as you would expect. However, as you can see, they are doing very well now and they are almost kittens. Knowing there was a third one there's another story that will be a separate post and unlike most follow-on stories this one has a happy ending. Stay tuned!

The white kitten is a male and his name is Madison. The long-haired beautiful gray girl is Maddie.

🌦 Good morning! 🌦
A little rain doesn't dampen this little lady's Spirit! Butterscotch is a very welcome, tho, unexpected guest, 😉 with P4P this week! She was on transport with Williams Rescue Transport with P4P's special needs kitty Donovan and was supposed to land in Ripon, CA. But...the sister Fates re-directed her for a short visit to Southern Oregon! This Friday, Butterscotch will catch a ride back South with WRT and, hopefully, land where intended!

Portland General Electric again you let the power go out in Keizer at the hottest part of the day. If I ran my company the way you did I would be out of business in one week. You need to underground the lines in Keizer Oregon and you know it I've called your engineers and they tell me, well they tell me they have no clue why they haven't done it really. You guys charge one of the highest electricity rates around and instead of underground in the lines you've patch worked together an electricity system that has been around for about a hundred years now. Do your job I've got rescue animals and Fosters that I have to keep cool and back to back two days in a row you've let the power go out on the hottest part of the day. I'm going to go into your office tomorrow and I'm going to demand a full refund for all electricity for both days because every time you do this crap we have to run everything at maximum to catch back up. Seems kind of like a scam to me. Like you don't have to invest, you don't have to upgrade and you just patch work repair and then we have to pay extremely high electric rates to cool everything down again. So you dip into our pockets multiple times. How special you guys must feel when you go to the bank to cash your paychecks and your cruise go home to their families with their nice Union paychecks. Do your jobs.

Let me explain to you electricians and electrical line workers how electricity works. When you draw a lot of it through a receptacle Transformer line or anything else it gets hot. Then you have power loss then you have power surges. Now that I've explained basic electrical current to you could you please upgrade the system to handle global warming. You're going to get someone killed and all of you will get away with it because you don't have any liability for what you do. Think about the older folks in the retirement centers here in town think about that next time you cash your paycheck

Today we had to rebuild the suspension for the trailer for transporting rescue animals last minute. Thank you to Valley Fab Corp. For cutting steel and drill pressing some holes so we can reattach the hangers for the suspension today. My wife walked in and walked out with exactly what we needed within about 20 minutes. Because of them another 58 animals will leave California and go to rescues and adopters this weekend. Thank you again guys. I always appreciate the local support

Good morning and happy holidays to you!

I have a favor to ask and it's a slightly larger one than normal and as you know I rarely ask. I have a partner rescue who is drowning in veterinarian bills because of most recently a mom and some puppies that had pneumonia. I would like to help them out and I am certainly going to put some of my money towards it and I think I will start that off with $200. Now, I have a lot of rescue friends out there that are very good with their money so I'll be blunt I know there's at least 5 or $10 somewhere laying around and all of those 501c3s that we could put together a good amount of money for this rescue. Now I like privacy so I'm not going to say who it is right here because I think that's a bad idea. There's been no fiscal irresponsibility and I know this because I'm deeply involved. Having said that, anyone who inquires I will send you a private message and tell you exactly what's going on. I am going to post my venmo and my PayPal and I am more than willing to show you the transfer from me to them. Hopefully I've built some trust out there LOL anyone who wants to donate certainly I will contact you privately and make sure you know the whole story before you ever hit the pay button.

This partner has been doing solid work for years Beyond how long I've been transporting. Not allowing her to go dark is the primary goal as she saved hundreds of lives that have gone through my transport. Maybe a little holiday spirit here guys LOL you know I've got three daughters so you know I don't have much money left after Christmas but I'm going to put up my $200 so let's start it off with that. Happy holidays and here is the PayPal and venmo option. If you feel more inclined to send directly to the rescue I have no problem with that either and I will give you that information in a private message upon request

I have been inundated with calls over the past 2 days because many Transporters are not running this weekend. I am running! Slow and steady wins the race as always. I am filling up pretty quick so if you are going to get dogs on this week you might want to act now. There's only one more run before Christmas and then we will not be running on the Christmas weekend. Send me a private message do not respond to this I will be on the road and I will not be checking this post.
