ch about snakes, I wanted colorful jewelry. Then by chance, a friend of ours introduced me to polymer clay. So great to work with. Polymer clay comes in many colors and I mix and blend those colors to get the patterns for my art work. No paint is ever used in my designs. The designs are made in the clay. After I design and handform the jewelry, I bake it in my oven. As the snakes (and turtles) cool down, they cure (harden) and I glaze them with a clear gloss or matte finish, add the hardware and the piece is finished. No two pieces are exactly alike so each one has its own personality.

Please STOP killing snakes! It is not fair that they have to die because someone is scared of it. Educate yourself. You can look up ANYTHING on the internet now. Fear comes from lack of knowledge. Arm yourself with knowledge of what creatures live around us and in your yard. These creatures are just trying to make a living like the rest of us. Unless provoked, most snakes won’t try to bite you. They don’t want to come near you! Just watch your step and try not to step on one. Trying to kill a snake is one of the best ways to get bitten. They are just trying to protect themselves. I would bite too if someone was coming at me with a shovel. I apologize to all you people who hate snakes no matter what I say. I cannot make you like them. But I am just asking you to educate yourself and prepare if you come across one. They are out sunning this time of year. Just leave them alone. If it is possible to take a pic of the snake you see, please send it to my messenger and I will identify it for you asap! But please do not chop its head off and then send me the pic. It’s too sad for me to see. Enjoy springtime and all it has to offer ( minus the pollen allergies). And let me help you learn NOT to fear all snakes. If you want to learn more and see some snakes (in cages) please come to Farmer School’s fun day on April 27th. We will have many of our snakes there. There will also be fun games for the kids, an auction, talent show, and delicious chicken pie supper!

Our Story

I use polymer clay to make snake and turtle jewelry. It started when we started breeding non venomous snakes many years ago. We would set up at Reptile Expos to sell our snakes and I wanted to find snake jewelry at the shows. I found silver and gold colored jewelry but no colorful stuff.... Since the patterns and colors were what I loved so much about snakes, I wanted colorful jewelry. Then by chance, a friend of ours introduced me to polymer clay. Wow! So great to work with. Polymer clay comes in many colors and I mix and blend those colors to get the patterns for my art work. No paint is ever used in my designs. The designs are made in the clay. As the snakes (and turtles) cool down, they cure (harden) and I glaze them with a clear gloss or matte finish, add the hardware and the piece is finished. So much fun.
