The K-9 Ron shirt sale is live. These shirts are to commemorate his journey from a rescue dog in need of a second chance to a trained police canine.

Proceeds will be split between the rescue that saved Ron, Unbreakabull Pit Bull Rescue of Minnesota and the newly formed K-9 Ron fund that will help fund the Delran Township Police Department K-9 Unit.

FOSTERS STILL NEEDED!!!

MEET CRAIG - Our boy Craig just graduated from his 5 week board and train and he's ready to transition into a foster home with all his new skills!!

Craig is 2 yrs. old and he has a very goofy, fun personality once he lets loose. Craig went to training to work on his impulse control and his socialization with other dogs.

Craig will still be best as an only dog but he has come a LONG way with being able to co-exist with other dogs with his muzzle on and he is no longer fence fighting or becoming too intense when he sees new dogs.

Craig is fully muzzled and e-collar trained and his trainers say he is a very good boy that likes to please and follow his commands when asked. He can be independant and do his own thing but he also likes a good leg lean and snuggle!!

MEET HOZIER - 7 months old - A really amazing puppy!! He goes in his kennel easily though he does whine for a little bit after being put away but settles pretty quickly! He is still being potty trained but has had minimal accidents in his kennel and in the house. He hasn't quite figured out how to tell you he needs to go outside so being let out consistently has been very helpful for him to learn where to go.

He is a moderate energy level puppy. He loves a good play session but then will take a nice long nap to recover! He's pretty floppy and playful and can entertain himself pretty darn well. He would really love a play pal as he loves other dogs so much! He has found my cats sufficient for the job. This is to say he is good with cats, but that cats may not enjoy his enthusiasm but he hasn't shown any aggression to anything at all... just wants to play and have fun!

PRINCESSA UPDATE!!

Princessa had to go into surgery last night as the foreign body wasn't moving along her small intestine and she wasn't doing well.

She made it through surgery and is recovering well. What they found in her small intestine was a pine cone. It was extremely hard and wouldn't have passed on it's own they feel.

Despite the fact we have NO idea how we are going to be able to afford this $3,200 surgery PLUS the $2,600 she was at BEFORE surgery we couldn't say no and not save our baby girl who has fought SO hard with her IMPA the last year.

We will be on hold and not able to help any other dogs until we can raise enough to cover a large portion of this bill. We are a small and not wealthy rescue. We take in a LOT of hard dogs so funds are always flying out the door.

PLEASE consider a donation. PLEASE share. This is devastating for us and we do not want to shut the doors. We can't imagine all the dogs that won't get saved if we do :(

Princessa Update!!

Currently we have raised $370 and our current invoice is now at $2,300. We are still struggling to figure out how we will cover this unexpected cost :(

Princessa still has NOT passed the foreign material as of this morning so more repeat x-rays and surgery might be needed.

PLEASE HELP!!

Many of you know Princessa from when she first came to us over a year ago just moments before euthanasia because she was extremely sick. We discovered she had IMPA and it was a long road but she has been doing AMAZING!!!

UNTIL YESTERDAY 🙁 Her foster became extremely worried after she had vomited several times and refused to eat.

We got her into our Urgent Care Vet and after blood tests, x-rays, and supportive care it was discovered that she had ingested some foreign material. Her stomach was extremely extended and inflamed.

Princessa spent the night at the hospital and repeat x-rays were done this morning. At this time it does not appear to be obstructing her but her stomach is still VERY angry so she will stay another night for supportive care and hopes she will pass this on her own with meds to get her GI tract moving.

This is EXPENSIVE AND NOT EXPECTED!!!

PLEASE HELP!!

Many of you know Princessa from when she first came to us over a year ago just moments before euthanasia because she was extremely sick. We discovered she had IMPA and it was a long road but she has been doing AMAZING!!!

UnbreakaBULL Pit Bull Rescue will roam freely around the room while you go through the yoga flow sequence. The hour long experience will wrap up with 15 minutes for extra dog/puppy cuddles and time for social media worthy photos and videos. No prior yoga experience needed, yoga mats NOT provided. All participants must be 18 years or older, unless accompanied by an adult that has also purchased a ticket to that same class. A beverage ticket is included in the price of the ticket to the yoga class to be redeemed at 56 Brewing. Come find your new FUR-EVER friend and get all the puppy cuddles, kisses and love you could want.

We are so excited to share that Unbreakabull alum, K-9 Ron is officially employed with the Delran Township Police Department!

Ron’s journey began at MACC where he later received a euthanasia deadline. Working dogs like Ron need an outlet and don’t do well in shelter environments. A shelter volunteer noticed Ron’s talents and stumbled upon a post from the K-9 Protectors looking for their next training candidate! She quickly got his testing done, but with his deadline fast approaching, we had to act fast. Ron captured our hearts, and we said yes to him, rushing to MACC to pick him up before it was too late.

That’s where we met the volunteer who introduced us to Ron, explained the K9 Protectors program, and asked if she could volunteer with us, continue his testing, and figure out logistics while he waited for a training spot to open up during a few months in rescue. OF COURSE we said yes!

Ron joined his amazing foster home and completed the remaining tests to officially be accepted into K-9 Protectors! When we say fostering saves lives, we really mean it.

A few months later, the same volunteers transported Ron to his new K-9 Protectors foster trainer and handler, where he began training in narcotics detection. In a field dominated by shepherds, Malinois, and labs, our big bully boy Ron was breaking stereotypes!

Unfortunately, breed bans and breed discrimination still exist, especially when it comes to employing dogs. K-9 Ron waited longer for a law enforcement agency, but everything happens for a reason, and he ended up exactly where he was meant to be.

The K-9 Protectors never gave up on our boy, and neither did their incredible supporters. Thank you to EVERYONE who shared Ron’s story and advocated for him. And thank you, Delran PD, for seeing past the stereotypes and seeing Ron for who he is: a badass, hardworking, intelligent, goofy sidekick.

K-9 Ron’s new handler is over the moon, and so are we. We can’t wait to see what he accomplishes over the next few months.

Ron is truly Unbreakabull, and his story reminds us why we do this work. Stay tuned for a K9 Ron T-shirt sale coming this week!
