Labs play piano!! Didn’t you know??🤣🥰 We had a wonderful afternoon with these guys after taking some individual portraits of each of them. They all took well to this toy piano the kiddos had out. Is fox red a Labrador color?… Yes, we will get countless comments saying this is NOT a real Labrador color. But did you know… “Fox red” is simply the yellow gene found in Labradors (and other dogs as well), just extra dark pigment! Yellow Labradors can range in color from so called “Polar white” all the way to the very darkest shade, “Fox red.” All are accepted by the AKC. In fact there have been quite a number of Fox Red Labrador Retriever AKC Grand Champions. Rather than being a recent “creation”, dark yellow/red Labradors used to be the most desirable shade of labrador for hunters in the first half of the 1900s, due to their great ability to be camouflaged! A black lab stands out starkly by day, a light yellow lab is easily seen at night. Fox red easily blends into the landscape. However, the fox red color began to fall out of favor in the US until around the 1980s. Then, certain US breeders began importing dogs of that color from Europe as they discovered what a beautiful color it was, and began to reintroduce it into their lines. Once you meet a fox red labrador in person, as we first did almost ten years ago, it will be almost impossible to forget what a beautiful dog it is! This pup found his people 🥹🫠❤️ We are so happy one of our sweet pups could go to these two darling boys, and wonderful family. It makes us so beyond thrilled to see each and every amazing family that becomes “home” to one of our @happiestlabrador puppies. This pup, along with his brother, flew into NewYork in the safe hands of the puppy nanny, @my.flight.nanny , where they both met their forever families. We are so thrilled to work with Hope @my.flight.nanny who is our puppy nanny whenever we don’t have time to personally fly your puppy to you! We have worked with her for years and she is just incredible. She can get us a flight when no one else can!! Excited for the future deliveries to come, including Achilles, who I am personally flying next week to DC! I will share our whole journey with you all!! tons of new content coming soon too. I have been SWAMPED with the holidays, and then sickness after that LOL. But we’re slowly getting back into some sort of schedule.
