I suppose it's fitting that on World Lizard day I can say that we've successfully hatched Ceratophora tennentii babies. We pulled two tiny babies from the adult enclosure that we clearly missed as eggs. Additional eggs are close to hatching outside of the terrarium.

Thanks to for sending these my way.

While less shown, we also breed Eurydactylodes agricolae. This little guy is showing off their ability to regenerate lost tail pieces.

When the genes activated in his tail, it also began growing a new tail tip where he had a cut. We don't know if he'll continue generating another tail tip, but we keep a close eye on him.

Ping pong is a biological clock. 8 hurricane babies, born today after Ian swung wide of Savannah. Interestingly the wind, cool air, and humidity accompanying the hurricane kept the Cophotis room cool while we were without power.

As is expected, it is in shed for pictures. If you are interested, reach out to us at [email protected] and we'll send you its full profile.

This 6 month old (probable) female has some of the prettiest sustained colors of any of the cophotis I've kept. Her early colors (Pic 1) tended to be more blue, but today's are still great. I'm currently holding her for someone interested, but will be keeping her if it falls through.

As usual, Ping-Pong is wildly predictable with her babies. I was guessing early next week, but today she's given birth to 8 tiny Cophotis. They join our other March births including 3 Eurydactylodes agricolae and 2 Crested geckos.

Not everything about raising reptiles is fun. Was feeding the most recent batch of babies crickets (the same size they've been on for 4 weeks), and this one chokes and dies.

Long update on babies. Spring '21 babies are down to 1 left, who switched back to fruit flies again. Not sure when/if it'll become available.

Fall '21 babies from Ping-Pong are all healthy and chasing infinite fruit flies. The second batch has had 2 (of 5) casualties. One to a spider the size of his head that was hiding in the tank and the one that was discovered 24 hours after the others and never thrived. A third looks substantially less active than the others, so hopefully it'll grow up just fine.

The expected third batch still has not popped and she's been giving me the stink eye, so fingers crossed.

For anyone looking for adult male Cophotis, has two available. I've had the pleasure of interacting with Monique periodically regarding Cophotis since she purchased from us a couple of years ago. It's a good price for an adult male and I know that she takes excellent care of her animals.
