Today is my heart dog’s birthday. Not only that, but his golden birthday. Harley would have been ten years old today, meaning he should still be here. I lost my boy in 2021 and miss him every day. He passed from Hemangiosarcoma so we had zero warning and it was so sudden. This dog changed my life and truly made me understand the love a person can have for a dog and the love a dog can have for a person. He was my best friend and was by my side through some really hard things. The pain of losing him is still with me and probably will be forever. I can only hope I find a connection like the one I had with him again someday. And that he’ll be waiting for me on the other side when the time comes. I love you and miss you, Harley! ❤️

Two new policies to update you on!

First, I am now requiring a 20% deposit when booking overnight stays or drop-in visits for more than a day. This will be non-refundable and go towards your booking. I am requiring this to ensure commitment and provide security for both you (the pet owner) and me. I will except cash, check, or Venmo at this time. This said, I will refund you if something were to happen causing me to cancel, which would only happen in extreme circumstances.

Second, I am requiring an extended care rate for overnight stays. If you book me for a night but two days, I am not just going to charge by my one-night rate as I am taking up two of my work days! I can only figure out the wording through an example: If I start at 11am on the first and you don’t return until after 11am on the end date, 50% of the overnight rate will be applied. If you don’t return until after 11pm (so 12 hours after the originally start time), 100% or a full night will be applied. If this doesn’t make sense, please feel free to ask for clarification. It’s easiest to describe for each situation.

This will be applied for all bookings moving forward. Thank you!

August 28th is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day. I’ve grown up with more animals than the ones in the pictures but these were the most special in my heart.

The first photo collage shows Harley, my heart dog. I have always loved animals but didn’t know it was possible to love a dog so much! He has left such an impact on me and has deepened my love for animals so much. He passed away in 2021 and took a piece of me with him.

The second picture shows my cat and two other dogs that I grew up with. Jazmine was the most special cat, the sweetest girl ever! Smitty was a crazy boy who loved treats and belly rubs. Buddy was a gentle giant who felt emotions so hard and loved so deeply. I miss them so much 🥺

These are my two crazy boys, Joey (mini Aussie) and Simba (chihuahua mix). They are two of my biggest joys!! They keep the whole family on our toes.

I officially have my planner for 2025!
This year is booking up fast. For overnight sitting, I only have a few weeks open in November and random openings in December. Drop-ins have plenty of availability left!! It is not too soon to start thinking of booking with me for your travel plans in 2025, either. I am excepting bookings for the first half of the year, up until 07/01/2025. The sooner you reach out, the better!! I now require a 20% deposit when booking a service lasting longer than a day. Thank you so much!

Happy Monday! It is one of my volunteering days (at The Gud Ark Animal Sanctuary) and I wanted to show off some of my favorite friends (Cyclops: left & yellow, Pebbles: right and pink/white). I have fallen even more in love with birds since starting here and wanted to remind everyone that I don’t just provide care for dogs and cats, but animals of all kinds 🦜🐾🩷

the biggest shocker to me is the difference in life-span between indoor and outdoor cats 🤯

pictured is fred out in a pet stroller because he loves to be outside but i want to keep him safe. hopefully someday he’ll have a catio! he hasn’t been out much since it’s been hot, but loves to spend every morning out there during the cooler months. 🩷
