Have you ever seen such a feeding frenzy?! Mahalo to our very seasoned and dedicated rehabber Suzette for taking the daunting task of getting this bunch of little ones a second chance at life. If you have an attic- please plug your holes with netting, screen or wood putty (after checking no birds are inside). Attics make for the “perfect” nesting spots for a variety of birds. All too often we get calls from roofing companies saying they have no choice but to remove nests full of babies because home owners have decided they no longer want noise, or now need to do renovations. If you have a nest of babies in your attic currently, we suggest leaving them be! By the time you hear them- they may be leaving within 4-6 weeks! ☺️ let them be- THEN plug your holes to prevent future nesting. As always, if you’d like to volunteer with hawaii bird rescue- Send a message!
