WEEKEND FORECAST UPDATE

Windy says this is how it's looking just now give or take

We have Windy's classic "pressure sandwich" this weekend, bringing with it a STRONG (mild and moist) SOUTH WESTERLY wind

•HIGH pressure over mainland Europe spinning CLOCKwise
•LOW pressure up over Greenland spinning ANTIclockwise

And we're stuck in between them, in my "pressure sandwich"

See they wee yellow squiggles. That's the Isobars, and as you can see they're packed tighter than a rush hour train in Delhi (windy)

Scotland is on the top peripheral of the HIGH pressure (purple squiggle), so unfortunately we've drawn the short straw

•Wind starts to pick up and gets stronger as we go through the weekend

•Rain starts to fall over the NORTH WEST initially before covering much of WESTERN Scotland late Saturday night Sunday morning

•EXCEPTIONALLY HEAVY RAIN Saturday NIGHT into Sunday with PARTS of WESTERN Scotland seeing 6 to 8 inches come Sunday night . . . If yer "property" is prone to flooding I suggest you get yer s**t together now

•Expect travel disruption. Flooding and a few landslides over in the WEST, with travel disruption and localised flooding elsewhere
