Well. This is a post I hoped never to have to write. You probably know I have ME/CFS, as I've been fighting with it for several years now. We've changed and adapted an awful lot to help me keep going, and keep working on a lil business I really enjoy; but recently it's become really clear that I've got a lot sicker very quickly, and we can no longer keep up.

I've made the very difficult decision to close for at least 6 weeks, beginning on Saturday 15th June. We are hoping that a program of radical rest, plus actually having the time to pursue answers via the medical system, will hopefully get me, if not back on my feet, at least back in the office more than 8 hours a week. During that time I'll also be outsourcing some work on the shop, and looking into different ways of doing things, plus streamlining what we do.

Anything you've had your eye on for a while though, this is the time to grab it - and remember to use one of our amazing reps codes too.

I will hopefully have the energy to blog about how I'm trying to recover on Threads, if that kind of thing floats your boat, & I hope I can keep occasionally posting about what the RudeDogs are getting up to here.

When we took this picture, all the humans were wearing a RudeDog t-shirt or hoodie that matched their dog. Did we get any pictures? Did we b*llocks.

It was a flipping brilliant holiday though. And you have no idea how weird it is to be in a group where everyone is wearing your designs. Insane & brilliant.

Today we go blue.
Watching Mr RudeDog doing the cleaning is a whole lot less fun than you'd think. I did get to hold one end of the rug while he shook it, and I got to put the filter back in the pond today; after he installed a new electrical supply, wired up the new pump, and cleaned out the filter.
I'm an independent person, and sitting around while someone else does all the work is anathema... But I don't want to get sicker. So I sit, and I lie down, and I don't get too hot or too tired, and I hope the Visible App will help me pace well enough that I can at least keep working a few hours a day.
It could be worse. I know so many people that didn't find out in time, or got another infection, and are now stuck in bed all the time. I'm determined not to join them. So I rest, and I loathe it.

I only found out about this today, so in my usual haphazard way, I'm sharing these while wearing mostly pink. In my defence though, I did a social event last Saturday and am still *enjoying* the vast majority of the symptoms on slide three. This is a crappy disease, it does steal your life, and sometimes it's very hard to stay hopeful, but life is still good. I love making things and spending time with Captain Snotbags, Mr RudeDog ain't half bad 😁 Maybe next year we can all wear blue bandanas together 😊

It's Desperately Jealous Dog Time.
Three dips of peanut butter on a chewy bone have been dispensed; Dreamies have been had, and now a knee is being sat on, & Lulu is doing the sitting.

It's hard to see my dog getting older & feel like I'm not able to complete all the plans I had for us when he was a puppy. Nothing about being disabled is easy, but knowing you only get so long with your dog makes everything much more immediate. His lil grey nose is a constant reminder that we need to get out and do things together, whenever we can.

This weekend is definitely going to be fun; we are hanging out with our besties & having a glorious walkie. (Well, Morrie is having a glorious walkie, I'm having a nap.) Then there will be much posing for photos. And probably some toy argie bargie over toys.

We went out to make an emergency bandana delivery tonight, and had a surprise date night dinner at a pub. It was... Much needed. I've not been very well, so it's been a total rest day today, and it's been pretty enforced quiet over the last couple of weeks. Getting to sit together and talk and eat and enjoy ourselves with no pressure or chores; it's not something we get to do often, and it's important...

But I'm looking forward to Pupper Time on the weekend. A lot.
