This little baby (and others like her) depend on us for everything—including staying warm. Right now, we urgently need more pink packs/heating disks to help keep our tiniest rescues safe and cozy during necessary travel.

Muskrat is approximately 7 months old, up to date on her vaccines, and spayed. She's energetic and needs a home with another young, playful cat. She's comfortable with our 60+ lb dogs and is good with our cats and our kids.

We're considering finding her a forever home that isn't our house, so if you're interested, send me a message and we can talk about whether she may be a good fit.

Here's one of the babies that was from the spay/C-section on Monday. They are SO SMALL

Stopped by the rescue today to drop something off and it was all-hands on deck to help resuscitate 7 C-section kittens. They were minutes old and so so tiny. But by the time I left, they were all breathing on their own. They may end up being too small to survive but the rescue will do everything they can to help them.

In rescue, it's hard to know when to make the decision to humanely euthanize. But I've had so many kittens die from illness and wished I could prevent the suffering. Throughout the day today, it became obvious that Imaginary Friend was getting worse, not better. Tonight I was able to hold him while he passed gently, before he was in too much pain. For that I am so thankful.

Love you little boy. I'm glad I got to spend this last week with you. 💔

Ify isn't doing as well as I want, so he's going in for a quick check up at the rescue. Let's send him healthy vibes!

ETA: right now we're trying some antibiotics but in the long run, things don't look too promising for my Imaginary Friend. Let's hope he proves us wrong the way Muskrat did.

They were so impatient about their bottles that I decided to give them a can of kitten food to check out while I was bottle-feeding. It was a hit with Socks and Ify but the orange cats weren't sure. Hoping this will help Ify gain some weight; you can see how much smaller he is than everyone else!
