My Dearest Rocky,
It’s taken me this long to finally muster up the strength to write this post.
Not a day goes by that you’re not thought of.
******To all our page supporters*****
I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted and it’s been quite difficult to gather the right words.
Our Rocky, also known as Dogopotamus Rocky, crossed the rainbow bridge back on June 30th.
His health was declining and he waited patiently for me to get back into town before he departed.
This one hurt quite deeply.
Rocky found me in a transition of life in 2016.
I had just lost Ripley (Shar Pei) of 13 years and did not think I could give again.
Yet, here he came along from the NASPR and I adopted him.
From Dec 2016 to June 2023, he was my world.
He led a tough life before I got him and my whole focus was to make sure he never had to want, always got the love he deserved, and the patience to understand he deserved nothing but the best. All our companions do.
So many people helped support Rocky throughout his life and I can’t extend enough appreciation for that as well.
So, the reason of inactive posts is on me.
Just couldn’t find the right words to say.
He’s heavily in my heart and thoughts.
As we come up on Thanksgiving, it’s my first without having him physically here.
In the world of “being thankful” ,
I’m thankful for the time Rocky allowed me to have with him.
I’m thankful for Rocky showing me unconditional love.
I’m thankful for all the times Rocky made me laugh.
I’m thankful for all the times Rocky was there to listen and respond with just a grunt.
I’m thankful that Rocky humored me with all the photos he allowed me to take.
He was more than just “my dog”, he was truly my best friend. (Even my best man at the wedding)
I can never say enough thank you’s for what he gave me.
He is missed.
He is loved.
Until I see you again Rocky, I love you.
✌️❤️ 🐽
