**** UPDATE: Sophie update - it has only been a little over a week and we can already see the positive changes:

Tested with 2 female dogs: The first dog Sophie was a little pushy, the second dog had a more confidant energy and Sophie liked that and wanted to play. It seems Sophie does not want to be leader but if there isn't one she steps up but really doesn't know what to do. ****

Sophie is a sweet soul who found herself in a tough situation just days ago, facing an uncertain fate. Thanks to a dedicated volunteer from our rescue, this lovely girl is now safe and ready to find her forever home.
Despite her rough start as a stray, Sophie has blossomed into a loving companion. She came to us a little underweight, but with the help of the shelter’s caring team and her foster Mom and Dad, she’s already gained 20 lbs and is on her way to a healthier weight. With a little more TLC, she’ll be the beautiful girl she was always meant to be.
Sophie is truly special—she thrives on human connection and would do best in a mature home where she can be the center of attention. While she gets along wonderfully with people, we recommend a dog-free environment for now, as her interactions with other dogs are still being evaluated. With some training and patience, we believe she can continue to grow and adapt.
This playful girl loves nothing more than a good game of ball, and she’s well-mannered at home—house trained, car friendly, and motivated by treats! She has shown no aggression when it comes to her food or toys, making her a delightful companion for any family.

He requires treatment for his allergies. He could work in a home with a cat or dog dependent and with careful intro. He’s so worth it! Harley has been with us since July 2023.

He would make a great 1 animal family dog. He’s a happy silly loveable guy. He needs humans willing to follow through with his training and provide him structure.

🐱Mia | 1 | F | DSH | New to indoor life but learning she doesn’t have to be scared! Shes a more a look don’t touch kind of girl but can enjoy pets and purrs when sleepy and comfortable. She needs a quieter home and continued help with socializing. She would love a cat friend.

We need help.

This week has been a rough one. I’m struggling to keep up with the rescue and we desperately need some good news coming in.

We need shares.
We need adopters.
We need donations.

We need to find our current animals homes. All it takes is one share to find their people. They can’t live the rest of their lives in foster care.

Legend has had a set back which we’ll be updating everyone about soon. We will need help covering the cost of his vetting and continued rehab. Huge thank you to his foster mom who has been going above and beyond for him. All of our fosters are so amazing and give me hope that there are families out there just like them.

We’re down to a case and a half of canned kitten food and 2 small bags of kitten kibble. For Mia and her babies, that won’t last more than a few days. We have some more just like them needing help but that can’t happen until we catch up on funds, supplies and adoptions.

The next few days I’ll be posting about the need for donations and listing the cost so far of each of the animals in our care. Hopefully that can help people see why there is always such a need. I know it’s annoying to see rescues always asking for funds but we have no other way to help save/change these lives.

I arrived to CDHS as I was left abandoned on a bus! Can you believe it! The lovely GRT bus driver found me at the end of their shift left in a insulated cooler. SEESH! It was a bumpy ride, but I'm doing A-OK.
I was brought to the lovely team here at CDHS where they gave me plenty of soft blankets and fresh veggies and I thanked them by singing my happy Guinea Pig songs (if you know, you know)
