and a random sooty yellow? I’m not sure what I’ll do with her yet, I don’t care much for her color but her ears are gorgeous!
Edit: after discussion the “sooty yellow” seems to be an over marked yellow splash! Further testing will be done at a later date for more info.

Another successful run with Mel's Neighborhood Rodents!!! I always love seeing what she has on board!
This little girl is going to be my first pied African Pygmy dormouse! I’m SO excited to introduce her to my pied carriers and see what spotted babies I get!

This is a friendly reminder that we are on a break for the winter!!
While I appreciate all the inquiries on the availability of my mice, I will not have any until March, this is the absolute EARLIEST I will have anything, so it may be longer. I will no way of knowing at this time.
I promise to keep posting updates as they come, right now I have none, this page will be the first place I post when things change!
I’d also like to say a HUGE thank you for 400 likes and almost 500 followers in ONE year! I can’t even name 400 people I know:) 400-500 people that love my animals as much as I do is amazing!

Pretty little color point splash gal.
She was one of my only hold backs over the past 2 months. I’m really proud of her, she comes from my longest running line of splash:)
I am so proud that I’ve been able to maintain so many nice features. My biggest fear when taking on show lines was that I was going to ruin them over time by not having a keen enough eye, but I think if got it down along the way!

This is why I say TRUST when your babies go through their ugly phase 😂
Blue point mama born in my Mousery, and then one of her sister’s babies, a beige point.
While their color points are different, she didn’t look much different than this baby.
This pup is 4 weeks old, this is why it is SO important to let your pups reach at LEAST 8 weeks before choosing hold backs and deciding if they are rehome able! Sexual maturity changes so much!!
There are some things you can tell early on, but most won’t really shine through until they are full grown.

I am making the decision of shutting down the Mousery for the winter.
I have a few reasons for doing so and I will be very transparent.
I will be running some routine health tests on my lines.
My FTT rate is higher than usual so I will be doing a sweep and rebuild of several of my lines.
What will these mean? Sugar gliders and micro squirrels will still be available as I have them, the ONLY lines I will have available for this time will be my Siamese and my merles.
These colonies are still going very strong with absolutely no health problems and absolutely no relation to any lines I’m having problems with.
Feel free to reach out about any still available lines over the winter! But please understand it will be very limited as I’m taking some time to work.

I will be taking a holiday break! We will be out of town for the holidays, so I will not be responding to anyone messaging about availability UNTIL January!
I will not be home to look, and I won’t have anything grown out until then anyway!
For those of you with kiddos on hold, I will of course answer any questions you may have, but I will not be getting anymore photos!

They don’t get much sweeter than this!!

The website is up to date with available mice! Due to a buyer back-out, I did had a couple babies on there. Anyone unmarked is available.

I absolutely LOVE when we have Dormice(Micro Squirrel) babies! They are so sweet and curious! Right now we have males and females 👀 🏠

Our newest project, extreme black! I’m going to see how I like this, this is my first self variety, so we’ll see how this goes! They just got off transport an hour ago, so better photos of everyone tomorrow!

We wrapped our first quail chick season. All babies have hatched and are in brooding boxes! Really hoping to see a lot of neat colors and eggs laid next laying season!
