Always thinking of our beautiful heavenly girl. She was not real fond of her little neck ring to keep her from chewing on her bandages but she was a trooper and sported it nicely. OUR BEAUTIFUL GIRL ALWAYS HAD A SMILE ON HER PRECIOUS FACE. She was looking at her brother and wanting him to play with her…..which he did. He loved her as much as she loved him. There will NEVER EVER be another Lily. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about her. She was 100% love and a gift straight from God. She is with him now no doubt because this girl was an absolute Angel.

This video of our girl was taken the first week we rescued her. We didn’t know her that well and was still trying to figure out her personality. You can hear her whining and we were thinking she wanted all the attention and was jealous because her brother Poe was getting some amd she was not getting all the attention. Well you can see that she actually wanted Poe to come be her friend and when I say they were besties….that is an understatement. He still seems sad 2 weeks later. We love and miss our girl soooo damn much. 💔💔💔.

February 1st, 2024 was the day we took this precious girl in and I didn’t realize the amount of love in my heart that I could have for ”a dog”. But you see, Lily wasn’t just a dog; she was an INCREDIBLY STRONG and DETERMINED inspiration to all that knew her. She was determined to survive and live despite being paralyzed and having no use of her back legs and not one single time did this girl ever complain. Her will to survive with the card that she had been dealt was something that could teach all of us a lesson when we think we have it so bad in life. Lily took a piece of my heart with her when she left this mean ole world a few days ago but I will continue to honor her legacy by saving animals as long as I have life in me.
Our beautiful girl died on Tuesday April 23, 2024 and 3 days later her best friend whom has been very sad since her death goes and lays his head on her bed like he always did when she was in it. So for anyone that thinks dogs don’t have feelings and don’t mourn the loss of their fur siblings….i hope this picture finds you and lets you see that they do.
I make this post with a very heavy heart. Lily passed away peacefully at the vet Tuesday afternoon surrounded with love from her mom Carli Rouse, grandma Sandra Politis, . She made a severe turn for the worse in just a few short hours. Thank you to Washington County Animal Rescue for rescuing this sweet girl and allowing us to give her the amazing life she deserved. She spent her last few months surrounded with lots of toys, treats, and love 💕. Lily’s legacy will live on as we will continue to advocate to put an end to animal abuse. Thank you to everyone that donated and followed her story from the very beginning.
HELP HELP HELP!!!!!!! Our precious girl had to be rushed to the vet this morning. She is borderline critical at this point. She just made a bad turn with one of her paralyzed legs getting SEVERLY INFECTED. Almost gang green per the vets wording. This literally happened in 24 hours.
