Today is the day that Ms. Gracie Marie officially started SD training 🎉. She's a lovely 2yo Goldendoodle that has already completed several training classes beginning when she was just a wee pup.
Her humom is quite an experienced trainer herself. We've worked together before with two of her previous SD's. It's really exciting to be working together again with her newest prospect!

Milo. Such a handsome little dude 😍
It was a yellow dog day 💛
Thanks Voyage Austin!
Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Sartori Hi Megan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today? Animals are practically part of my DNA. Growing up in a large family in CT, our house was always full of furry and feathered […]

Sweet Schatzie 🥰
Yorkie pup Milo is one of the smartest dogs I've worked with. He's not only eager, he just "gets it" within a few repetitions. He really makes me look good 😄
Nellie's joie de vivre is contagious!
Sweet Ivy. Swipe ⬅️ to see her with her favorite human, her bro Nic 🥰
This cheeky little monkey is Puri 🥰
GSD: Cooperation, Dedication, Focus.
Just cute 🥰
Welcome new client, 9mo Great Pyrenees mix, Ivy. Her nickname at home is "Poison Ivy" but we're going to change that! Isn't she pretty? 🤩
Look who graduated the Bow Wow Bootcamp... it's OLIVER 🥰🥇🐶
This special dog had rough start but was adopted by incredibly caring and dedicated humans. Ollie was born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia so he's very physically uncoordinated. In addition we suspect he probably lived outside with very little human interaction.
He was fearful of most people, stressed inside the house and completely shut down anywhere outside other than his backyard. Luckily, the resident senior dog, Charlie, took him under his wing...pretty much became Ollie's own emotional support dog 😄.
Ollie has gained SO much confidence, enjoys his walks, learned so many new skills and touched my heart with his undeniable spirit and gentle, endearing nature.
River had a blast training in Home Depot ☺️
Nellie. Such a sweet soul 🥰
So happy for the recent rain showers and subsequent clouds to keep the temps below average so we could get out for in the early evening!

Waiting patiently for supper 🐕❤️🐕

Had fren Ollie over today 🐕🐕🐕
Ollie is a bit shy when meeting new dogs and really impressed me with his braveness today. He was curious and respectful and loved doing "dog stuff" with my guys. Gia and Tuco enjoyed having a sweet puppy like Ollie visit too!
First we met and played outside. Swipe ⬅️ to see Ollie's close up in the "pool" 📸
Swipe ⬅️ to see Ollie when I dropped him off at home. He was ready for a nap 😴. Come back soon pal ☺️

Ollie is working on eye contact, "focus", with his human sister 👀. She's a pretty good trainer if I do say so myself 👏
"That toy is not going to throw itself. Derp" - Mando
Started with this cutie pie today. She's Schatzie, a 6mo She's a bit of a hooligan, which is not really a surprise 😅
Ready to ride with River 😁. I think this is her, "where are you taking me lady?" face 😆.
Handsome Mando 😍. He's got a little bit of stranger danger and a whole lot of drive...it's going to be fun training this guy! 😄

This is Oliver, or Foliver (like fall+over) as his dad calls him. 🤭 . He has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (look it up, it's interesting!) as you can see in his jerky movements. It does not affect his cognition...he's just an adolescent boy with no previous training experience and a great big dose of "the world is a big scary place!" 😳 . This is not a glamorous video...it's real life training practice for place, let's go (polite leash walking), and leave it. Oliver is not perfect and his humom is learning too (way to go mom!). HOWEVER the improvement from the start of training is massive. 👏 . When I started with Oliver he barely knew how to sit, was pretty frightened of me and very frightened of all other strangers. He had very limited mental stamina, a lot like a very young puppy, and would just lay over and take a power nap(s) in the middle of a training session. SO, to see him working with his mom and chaining together several behaviors AND doing repetitions of the behaviors is kind of AMAZING. #killingit . . . #adoptdontshop #trainingisfun #thestellardog
Slo-mo "catch" with the mighty Surtr 🏀 . . . #rottweilersofinstagram #playwithyourdog #trainingisfun #thestellardog
Just a little snippet of teaching Surtr to "relax"...to roll his hips to one side when laying down. He's such a sweet meathead 🥰
"Wait" is a nice alternative to recall, among its many other applications in everyday life with dogs! "Wait" means no more forward motion until released, so it's a great way to catch up to your dog instead of calling them back to you. . Here I only ask Gia to "wait" because I'm not sure if Tuco understands the concept in this environment. As you can see, Tuco does stop with Gia but then continues ahead while I praise Gia. . He easily comes back to me when asked, which is lovely, however, I could have done a few things differently to capture and reward him when he did stop. I could have directed my praise at him first and stepped on the leash to prevent him from moving away to name two. . All in all it's just another lesson in "behavior is information" versus the dog being "good" or "bad". I'll keep working on "wait" and make changes on my end to help them succeed 😁 . . . #mixedbreeddogsofinstagram #tuco🐶 #mygirlgia🐕 #trainingisfun #behaviorisinformation #thestellardog
Practiced some recalls at the park this morning with #tuco🐶 and #mygirlgia🐕 😊❤️ . . . #mixedbreeddogsofinstagram #trainingisfun #thestellardog
Watching Pepper work out how to "settle" (lay flat while resting her head) on her Place without shifting to give herself more space...too cute 🥺 . . . #minibernedoodle #minibernedoodlesofinstagram #smartdog #thestellardog
Slo-mo footage of Tuco's signature play move, the roll and kick 🦵😅. He usually kicks Gia in the face, but his placement was a bit off this morning 🤭.
SLOW MO crazy time after our evening walk and brushing (long fur = burr magnet)...the sounds that come out of such a little dog crack me up!
