Quick update on Breeze. 8 months old and I am very impressed with his marking abilities. He's handling some complex marks at fairly long distances...land/water/land (singles). Started on simple doubles also.
Entering him in his first hunt test in two weeks...just to get him used to the atmosphere. it's only started...not too worried about it. Started is all about natural ability and he has that in spades.
His force-fetching went well. We worked on force to pile and He's also started on pattern blinds and simple "T" work...nothing too complex....

I may enter him in Derby stakes if I can start training some serious distances.
He's been a fun dog to train so far. Eager to learn, but like most goldens....is not good with too much pressure...balancing act for sure.

Well, got the unltrasound confirmation from the breeder of the litter we were looking at came back positive, so made a commitment for a new Male pup from a fantastic breeding. Field trial background...Good marking parents. Can't wait!

Making a special fall push to find that perfect pup to add to the family. Couple nice breedings in the hopper we are watching and may make a commitment in the next week. Exciting times again!

Well, looks like the breeding didn't take we were hopeful to get a pup from and the breedings for two other litters I was watching, one didn't take and the other one pup only....so....with plans A,B and C out the window, it's on to plan D. .... Mother nature.
